  1. He definitely had his own sense of what comedy was! What I liked about the 'Ernest' movies the most was, between scenes there was a small skit of sorts where Jim played ALL of the characters...... They would 'break the 4th wall' during those skits........
  2. I don't want to jinx it, but my hammy, Boog, has been being super active the past few days! He's been running around here in his ball for 2 or 3 hours this evening, off and on. I put him back in his habitat for water or whatever, then he's ready to run some more....... His type can live up to three years if taken really good care of, but most folks can't keep one six months! He's over a year old, but hopefully he's just getting started........
  3. Days of my youth were spent listening to bands like Primus and Cake.........
  4. Something that I sometimes struggle with....... I hope you heal back to 100%, Bill!
  5. That's a cool little car! What engine does it have? A cammed-up 273 would be too cool in that....... They make hop-up parts for the slant6, too!
  6. Once you realize that in some dimension everything IS happening all at once, your whole perspective changes........
  7. Power bill increases happened when they revamped our apartments, because they gave us larger water heaters and HVAC units.........
  8. That looks good! The '62 is an excellent kit, this will be a cool build.........
  9. There was an aftermarket company in the '60s that made replacement 'kustom' taillights. They were made from red acetate or something similar, and usually featured a chrome bullet, or maybe a chrome starburst or something along those lines....... I've been looking for an example, but can't find one (of course....). Maybe @Ace-Garageguy knows what I'm talking about? Surely Les might know............
  10. Dragons are mostly fictional......... mostly.
  11. That front-end treatment Really works! and those profile shots..........
  12. When they rehabbed these apartments a while back, I was watching all the crews do their work..... The electricians put in all new outlets, and put the face plates/switch covers on with a drill! A bunch of them are cracked because of that........
  13. It's great for a creative outlet, and a type of meditation for me! Plus, I really enjoy the paint process....... I get a lot of satisfaction out of making sure parts are clean, primer is smooth, paint is slick...... It's very rewarding when things go well.
  14. Needs a bit of yellow........... Happy Easter, Guys........
  15. Litter......... lots of litter.
  16. Puppies as smart as Emmett was as a young'un could be house-trained in just a matter of days............
  17. What is kind of annoying to me right now is my vision isn't what it used to be........ We get given those small CF light bulbs here in the apts. Between reading on the computer and working under poor lighting, my eyes are pretty strained. Gonna get a lamp to work under here soon, though, which should help!
  18. 'Too Many Puppies' is a song by Primus, who just recently got a brand-spankin' new drummer........... (That's a brand new number 1)
  19. Ever think that the glue fumes are getting to some of us? LoL!
  20. Everyone on here being such good people................ Nathan! My first car was a '74 Dodge Dart. It was a more-door with the slant6 engine. Starting off with a car that may not be exactly what you want may be a smart move, as a kids first car is pretty much to be disposable. You can drive the Pontiac to work or whatever, to save up for the classic that you want! I drove the Dart for about 6 months....... It had bad oil leaks and I was lazy about checking the oil, which led to a spun bearing. I graduated to an Aerocoupe Thunderbird, which I enjoyed MUCH more than the ol' Dodge....
  21. Track two on Blur's first album was appropriately named 'Song 2'..........
  22. John, don't think you're getting through the day without someone wishing you some Happy Birthday-ness............
  23. How about an obscure TV character? You guys ever hear of Ernest P. Worrell? He was a character invented by Jim Varney. There were several movies that were pretty much made for TV that the character starred in....... It was good, clean humor, and as a teen I had a similar sense of humor..... Silly but with a straight face! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_P._Worrell
  24. Not complaining, but someone needs to end a sentence with something way out of left field, like zizzibalooba......
  25. Yep, the hero car from the movie The Wraith! It had a twin-turbo four cylinder that was mounted midship (sidewinder-style, if I remember right) that would alllllllllmost reach 200mph.....
