  1. Hey, Carl man! The original release of this kit was by MPC and was molded in red..... The AMT/Ertl release is the one I have and is a much more manageable grey color ( what you see in the pics )....
  2. That's so funny...... ask people 'what's the hardest thing for you to say?' and they'll say it every time!
  3. More done........ I was kinda wondering how I was gonna do the stripes. The rest of the shading is graphite, and I knew that if I did all the stripes in color there would be a "medium clash" I guess you could call it..... I decided to just do the orangish red stripe in color, so it would just be a stark contrast to the rest being pencil. It's about 2/3 done.....
  4. Can I see pics of your wheel and tire setup? Just wondering which rims you used........
  5. Just wanted to show y'all how I had to cut the tanks free from the rest of the floor. The tanks themselves are held together with a temporary glue...... I'll save the air box for under the front end.......
  6. I have a little progress to show, it's just the engine. I would have liked to add dual carbs and such, just don't have those parts.... Now I have kind of a dilemma with the tires I had picked for this build. Seems the rears that I settled on are made by Testors, and apparently are known to shrink and crack....... So I've got an ad in the wanted section looking for a set of tires. If anyone could help..........
  7. Thunderbird marque has always tried to bridge the gap between power and comfort, which they did most of the time.
  8. Father figures who try to be role models are probably a blessing, something I missed out on as my Dad was a 'do as I say, not as I do' person......
  9. England was the birth place of a lot better bands than the US in the '60s and '70s.
  10. Moe is the name of a really good jam-based band....
  11. Usual Suspects could describe those who participate in this thread...
  12. Failure loops which make some headway are at least a spiral.....
  13. I've been working on this drawing....... It's about 1/3 complete.
  14. 'Vacation' can include a 'trip' to the model room, or in my case the dining area, which is where I build.
  15. Vacation destinations can be difficult to choose if you like the beach people but mountain scenery.....
  16. Pioneer makes really good stuff! Every car head unit I bought in my late teens/early 20s was Pioneer........ The little Mazda GLC that I drove for a while had a Clarion radio in it! It was a good unit from what I remember........
  17. That last one is more like a Modesty Meter.........
  18. Cars of European origin are known to handle better than their American cousins....
  19. I'm a HUGE fan of the Cardigans! I just can't get enough of Nina Persson's voice........ I call them an 'ironic ABBA' as they're also from Sweden........
  20. Driver the movie has one of the best stunt driving sequences ever in it, the scene in the parking garage.......
  21. Model Roundup carries a few vintage kits in their "Vintage Vault". You can also look under their recently discontinued kits for older ones to build......
  22. Hello, Martin man! I really like what's going on here..... The panoramic roof will definitely make this special. I really hope you'll figure out the clear piece, maybe using a thin enough clear sheet, you can form it at a low enough temp that the buck doesn't get warped on you.....?
  23. It's fun to say "wankel", isn't it?
  24. 12 step groups don't get much exercise, if all they walk is 12 steps...........
  25. I live in a small town, so I kinda get it, what she's doing......... Wearing the silly hat is supposed to make her seem more 'personable'. ( although less professional... )
