  1. Cash rules everything around me.....
  2. Would filling the cavity with something like the UV cure fillers work, then maybe just using BMF on the face of the filled recess?
  3. Hello! I have to ask, how does the finish look before polishing with the rotary tool? Is it acceptable as is? The reason I ask is maybe you could just skip this step........ Since there's no real reason to use a wax on model paint anyway. ( wax and polish are different things.... )
  4. Sentence me not to a long life full of boredom, but to a short, glorious one.....
  5. True-to-life is the effect we strive for in the building of our chosen subjects.
  6. PS...... I really hope this discussion is okay.........
  7. Here's my set-up, Snake man.... You just load your tobacco into the machine, pop the lever down, and an auger sends the smoke into the tube/filter. It's better quality cigs than the el cheapo's. The filter tells the auger when to stop, so you can do both lengths........ Load it up, tear off the filter, and there you go......
  8. Snake, man.... I've got a little machine that rolls smokes for you. All you need is a bag of tobacco and a box of filters. A carton's worth of cigarettes now costs me about $12..... Huge savings rolling your own.
  9. Got the clear on today! I tried with low-light pics to show the shine........ White is kinda hard to capture. All the other body parts are cleared, too....... Once I build up the front suspension, I'll pretty much be in the home stretch......
  10. You know, I did think about that...... If I had some sort of fine line tape in the right color, I might would outline the orange with that....
  11. Would the firewall from the '61 Impala be the same? I also have some '61 taillights if you were wanting to drill those out..... You're doing a custom, the '61 taillights would look like 'bullet' lenses!
  12. Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future.
  13. There's just a couple touch-ups to do, but the orange is done!
  14. Send me a PM if you're in need of the stock taillights........ I used the custom ones on my build. This is actually a really nice kit IF you know going in that the interior is a bit too wide at the dash...... This issue has came up several times, which is why it's helpful to read build threads and reviews of kits that you are interested in.
  15. Testing how the orange is gonna look............ What do you guys think?
  16. Whatever you do find out, it does make a good primer...... I was able to wet sand it the same day that I sprayed it.
  17. The Allman Brothers are Always welcome! My favorite instrumental would be 'Hot 'lanta" from, I believe, the same concert.......
  18. Isn't Praxis one of Buckethead's projects?
  19. It is! The only "molded-in" stuff is some things under the hood...... Did some painting today, too. Seems like a lot of work just to paint it in the color it's molded in............ I'll give it some time before I try to mask for the orange........
  20. It works so well on them, though! I just primed this today with it........ No crazing, it's super smooth and dries fast......
  21. It's neither of those..... It's just flat gray. Maybe it shares some chemical with Bondo that helps it bond to the substrate?
  22. Hey, Guys...... I'm just curious about this. Why would the primer I'm using smell like Bondo? It is intended for metal. I don't think I've ever used a primer with this odor..... It's a really good product, if a little thin.
  23. Primer went on this morning........
  24. Bugattis are a favorite of Ralph Lauren's........
