  1. Overland or Oversea, I'll go to where my baby be......
  2. I started this Fujimi 6 series some time back...... I had put carpet in the floors because the stampings are visible. Somehow it caused some interference when it was time to join the finished chassis to the body. I let it sit in it's box for a while, and just the other day drug it back to the bench. I'll show the engine bay and chassis that are complete. I've disassembled the interior to sort it out, and hopefully be able to fit this bad boy together! Here's the link to the original WIP thread.........
  3. That's really a cool build, so far! I really like the bobber, too......... The levers mounted to the tank, gear levers?
  4. Where's ol' Mr. Shoe when you need him? He would know the prefix and everything! @1972coronet
  5. Yet, all you need is a bit of indica to make you transparent...
  6. That's kool! What kit would you be using? A Ford tractor could have a hot-rodded flathead.......
  7. I had a lot of "growing pains" when I first joined the forum......... This was/still is the only forum that I'm a member of. I had to learn all the basics ( etiquette and such... )..... But I've learned a Bunch since I've been here, and from the looks of this thread that I started some time back, a lot of other builders have improved with their building..... This is the Best forum about anything, anywhere........
  8. Y'all want to hear something funny? Sometimes while typing a response to something, I'm trying to type fast enough that the previous sentence doesn't change...........
  9. I've done that before, and just primed over it with DupliColor primer without it harming the glue..........
  10. I really like this build.............
  11. One is the..... wait, should I do it..... nah, not this time.
  12. Bill, that last one made me giggle............
  13. I look at craigslist a lot for the SoCal area ( that's where all the cool cars are... ), I see a bunch of them Mini'd there.... or worn out, like you said.
  14. Coolest Mom ever...... Mine didn't mind me having them. There was also a magazine called 'Cracked', that was similar to Mad, but was a bit more "vulgar" and not as much "tongue in cheek" humor as Mad....... Mad was so much more well written.
  15. The best little truck I've had was an '83 s10 single cab short bed with a V8 (it was a 305...). It would have eventually gotten a 350, but I ended up needing to sell it...... They can be found pretty cheap here, since there's so many of them.
  16. Cool, Greg man.... Thanks for that link! From what I can gather, the transfer case would have to come from an Astro van, they're single speed..... There's other minor differences, too, it seems....
  17. Hey, guys..... I've got a few questions about the S10 pickups. I look at the ones for sale on Craigslist a lot.... There's as many 4WD ones as there are 2WD. Generally, I don't really care for 4WD, as I have no real world need for it. So I tend to pass over the ones that aren't 2WD. Then I got to thinking, the Syclone that GMC put out was "AWD", and was quite the performer. It being turbocharged was mostly responsible for that. They handled really well, also....... So, my question is..... could I take a 4WD S10 and make it perform like the AWD Syclone? Minus the turbo, of course. The handling would be what I was after..... The truck would eventually get a SBC engine, so I would most likely get one that had the 4.3, so the conversion would be that much easier......
  18. Thank you so much, John! I did do a WIP thread on this one...... here's the link to it.......... It shows that the work put in was a better quality than the finished piece ended up being......
  19. ........ and may all your Peeps be yellow!
  20. Thanks a bunch, Fellas! It does look a bit better in person than in the pics.....
  21. I'm almost ashamed to even show this one! This build kinda fought me in pretty much every way it could..... Not my finest moment. The dash popped out of position once I had it pretty much together, meaning I had to take it back apart. The clear didn't stick, so everywhere I had to trim foil on the body, I lifted the clear when removing excess foil..... Anyway, after a failed and redone paint job on top of all that, this one can call itself done!
  22. I'm sure he's still reading on here, even if he can't really participate........ At least he knows there are folks who are concerned........
  23. Album collecting as a hobby is still going strong, with many artists releasing things on vinyl.
  24. I'm like that with every new game I get! Especially anything driving........
