As a VW Aircooled fan since the '60's, over the years I've seen this type of body used with VW running gear and engine. My only problem with building this is that I have no spare aircooled engine or headlights! The wooden box at the back would have the engine in and the normal engine area at the front holds the fuel tank, that's why the fuel filler is there!
Just a heads up on the roof decal. I found various images on a Google search and downloaded to Word, sized it in the Word document and printed it on both clear and white backed decal paper from the Crafty Computer Company.
I thought I remembered this video, I marshalled on that 1977 RAC Rally, but on a forest stage! Great memories! Imagine the car sounds on a track half the width with tall trees up to the edge of the track, awesome!
