  1. And thanks to the other guys for their comments.
  2. Thanks NOBLNG. No you can't have an MTB without mud on the tyres!
  3. Thanks jchrisf, this is the Fujimi kit, bikes, roof bars and top boxes............ They go at about £15 here in the UK on Ebay.
  4. Thanks Ray in what flavour? We have Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Peppermint or Chocolate and would you like wafer biscuits or two slices of bread?
  5. Having read the 'Pet Peeves' thread on here I hope I don't offend anyone with my seemingly less than perfect (it may seem to others) build. This is the Revell kit version. Other than the twisted, buckled floor, front and rear windows buckled, and side windows too long and too high and oh yes trying to fit the body over the interior, was nigh on impossible. I had to shave down the door panels, take off the dash and shave off the mounting to the floor and about a 1/4" round the top of the dash as it touched the body without the windows in! With the engine surround there is a window panel at the back of the seats, this was also far too high and wide so shaved that down too! And a few other problems, too many to count! Anyway here's the finished article......................... The bikes, roof bars and top box come from a Fujimi kit. The decals are a Dot Camo from Scale Motorsport. The rear bike rack is scratch built. If anyone is offended by this thread please comment so that I can avoid this website in future!
  6. Superb build and decaling. I'll have to look at SlotFabrik Decals.
  7. Superb and 'thinking outside the box' to build a modern car with flames, great idea!
  8. Yes I've just started... What does annoy me about the majority of race/rally car kits is that they don't include seat belts on their decal sheets, you always have to source those somewhere else and they are expensive to get one A5 sheet of them! So I now print my own! Just imagine driving one of these with no belts on, crazy!
  9. Superb! I was marshalling at Silverstone when I first saw the 962 back in the day!

    Fiesta WRC

    Superb!
  11. Thanks Carl! After reading the Pet Peeves I'm reluctant to put anymore builds on here! Why do certain people that they are perfect and can do no wrong? Surely if we've dropped a clanger, there are ways of folks making constructive comments without being generally nasty about others shortcomings!
  12. As none of us are perfect in life, I don't think that this thread inspires confidence in any of us mere mortals who all make mistakes, so as it's not a nice place to be I'm signing off now!
  13. And my Resin Airstream...............
  14. I built this using a Jimmy Flintstone Resin Manx Body, Tamiya Mitsubishi 4X4 system, Corvair engine, Bull Bar and lights from a Lancia Stratus rally kit, Meyers Manx wheels and tyres working steering, Dakar decals and various spare parts.................
  15. Wow Interesting or what. I've got an Emhar Bedford OSBT I was looking to do this with. So I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes together!

    Ford GT

Superb! We don't see many of the new style Snap kits here in the UK, you've made a great job of this Ford GT well done!
  17. Thanks Jim, yes that's the idea, the sponsors hope that people notice it!
  18. Good idea Ian! I'm also a Porsche nut and have been since I started driving in 1966!! Here's a few of my recent ones............. and a couple of 914's
  19. Thanks Brian, I like crazy cool, and bright colours! Yes I took a gamble and rattle can sprayed both colours on at the same time with little or no masking!
  20. Nice! A different Porsche and an interesting one! I bought some Fuchs resin wheels from scaleproduction.de. I'm in the UK they are in Germany. The Fuchs they produce are in various sizes.
  21. Thanks Chris and Anders. After only 60 years modelling I think I'm just about getting it right! No don't speak too soon!
  22. Yes the wheels Dann. I use oven cleaner to take the chrome off and then paint as you would anything else, undercoat X2 and colour X2. On the body neither colour needed any clear gloss!
