Put the back axle on........................ The firewall and the bonnet back on................ Test fit the front with the bonnet after fixing the grill on.................. And test fitting the cab as well................. Well that's three hours work this afternoon. I'll do a bit more graft tomorrow............see you then.

I got this today as a previous starter from the bay. This is how it started out.................. And how it was advertised..................... and on my bench today.............. As most of it wasn't painted, it's amazing what a wipe over with some resin car polish can do........... more to come.............................

Cheers guys, I'm hoping to build a back-up vehicle, the Tamiya Hi-ace quick delivery. The light bar on the scooby came with road cones and other bits so I'll use those with the van and car! I also bought a pack of various police light bars, so I can use one (or two) on the van. I also have the rest of the sheet of Japanese Police wording for their Police vehicles. Oh and bye the bye this is my first model with BMF!

It started as this, but delivered in cardboard wrapping as an already started from ebay..................... and ended up as a prototype fast response car for the Metropolitan Tokyo Police............................ more to come..............................

Great idea Jim and superb build. With all of the older Ice Cream vehicles we have the logo on the back that says 'stop me and buy one'. I hope the brakes on yours are good enough to stop quick to make a sale!

Yes fantastic job JC. This is my kind of Porsche, mid engined. The body is superb, I've been trying to do the same with one of my 3 kits of this car.

Perhaps Mark the Alclad wasn't as chrome as you wanted, but when I looked at the rear axle unit I thought it was metal! It just has that look about it! Well done so far it's looking great.

Well Alex, the chassis is looking very good, so keep up the good work. The body will be the really interesting bit. I've tried making bodies but getting the two sides to match and getting everything square is the deal breaker.

Looks fantastic Krishna, well done. We have the Prodrive factory nearby where they built all of these various cars from the first Subaru Legacy to the last of this shape of Impreza. Prodrive then lost the contract as Subaru pulled out of full time WRC support.

Thanks guys. Yes I've tried BMF on various kits, about 6 times in all, disaster. I suppose I'll just have to keep trying!

Thanks guys, yes the paint is rattle can metalic red Plasti-kote. Very easy to put on and great finish without a clear gloss coat.

Yes guys. I don't think it looks so cool as the box art shows. One other thing............ when building the front steering assembly,the pins on the top and bottom of the streering/wheel fitments are long. to get a standard ride height, (you are supplied with two collars) you put the collars on the top pin, to lower the front put the collars on the bottom pin. So you have a choice, but beware as the tyres are perhaps too wide to go up into the arches, so you need to modify there. Yes the steering does work very well.

Thanks slusher. Although I looked at this on Google, but chose the easy option as I'd never built one before...... Bob there's no brightwork on the Nissan thank god. You say 'Very nicely done' then frighten me about BMF, I'm putting it off as long as I can! I suppose for training purposes I can start with covering sprue with BMF, is that a good idea? Now where can I find some chromed sprue?

Nice build, it looks a bit strange with steel wheels the same as the 1959 Mini.

I'd like to get hold of one of the Austin kits. My first daily driver was an Austin Devon 1953 4-Door, in British Racing Green although she topped out at about 60mph I can't see why they used the green! I would scratchbuild a new chassis and also drop it in the weeds. Good progress so far Mark keep it up, and I look forward to seeing more as you go along.

Great build Tomo, great setting nice and dirty! Another one on the shelf I've not got round to.
