What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)
PatW replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just test assembling the Meyers Manx Red recently purchased.. Must get it in focus next time under real light! -
I was also lucky to go to the LeMans 24 Hours twice! But many years ago. Whilst there I saw one of the works Mercedes cars take off and fly into the woods, the driver was sitting by the open driver's door when the rescue crews found him! Since then the Mercedes factory pulled out the works team from the event!

Yes the Tow'd one has always been elusive, so I've not seen one here in the UK!

Thanks guys, my finished one is in the Completed section. -
After building a standard, and a surf version, I thought military version (hoping I've put this in the right forum). Built box stock, camo painting all flat surfaces included the 'glass' side and rear window!

Purchased from a fellow modeler, on my trying to find a meyers manx kit in the UK. My purchase after discussion included the Subaru and the Corvette needing tyres! The Manx I also need to take templates for my own scratchbuilt beach buggy project.

Thanks guys. Alan there's no hint on the box/instructions of the scale size. I've put a search into the PC, some say 1/72 that I thought it was, another supplier say's it's 1/77. -

I don't know how it's written as the box art is in capital letters. -
What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)

Although not a car, but I did this over two days, and I've just got to add the orange painted markings.. The kit an Aurora one (C-119G Boxcar) has the date 1960. The decals were difficult to place as the position of each one is embossed in the plastic! -
