  1. I just know somebody here is going to bring it full circle and build a replica of this one now. Any bets on who will be the first ?
  2. That is lovely. Kind of a mating between a Jaguar and a Chetah . You would think that for this kind of money they could have done something more discrete with the tail pipes, though.
  3. Having ridden these many times in my youth, I think you nailed it, Harry. With the possible exception of the peeling paint that was in evidence by the time I got there.
  4. Don't know how I missed this one before. The '63 is the epitome of American car styling, in my opinion. Youve really done justice to my all time favorite 'vette. I especially like the detailing you did on the wheels.
  5. Very aggressive '57. I like the trailer too. Is that scratch built?
  6. I second the "Red Head" streamliner Also any pre-war Plymouths And pre-war cab overs
  7. And that right there is the best reason to participate.
  8. Very nice restoration. The paint and color are perfect: "All Corvettes are red - the rest are mistakes".
  9. Thanks for the info, Al. This surprises me, as I would have expected it to be too dark straight from the can.
  10. That is just CRAZY COOL ! I see one minor inconsistency, though; your driver looks more like a Beach Boys fan than a Beatles fan.
  11. Great model of a great car. That red is the perfect color to set off those clean lines. Question: How did you get such a subtle tint on the windows? Did you thin the transparent blue with clear?
  12. This is looking very nice, Tommy. Thoughtful planning and careful execution are paying off here. Where did the LS7 come from? I'm looking for one to put into a '39 Chevy. By the way, although it's sad to say, your English is better than a lot of native speakers here.
  13. Engine's looking good. I agree about the excess of chrome. Looks like you've dealt with it admirably.
  14. Looking great, as allways, Rich. Boy, with all that chrome this thing must be really fast! Happy Turkey Day!
  15. I still think this is a strange style, but what matters here is the execution and you're doing an awesome job. Nice job getting the graphics on the roof nice and crisp.
  16. Looking very cool. I love the old school look. If you're feeling a little courageous, you could try a little black wash on the weels to give them a bit more depth and realism. I use oil paint thinned with turpanoid to the point that it looks just like slightly dirty thinner, for this purpose. It works great for engines too.
  17. I'm looking forward to seeing how this developes in your capable hands. This looks like a fairly well integrated design, with the exception of the front end. I would either blunt the upper portion or do something with the airdam to ballance it. Just an opinion.
  18. Simple, clean and well executed. I like it.
  19. Perfect choice on the colors, Bruce. I've never seen one look classier!
  20. Nice work on the suspension, and an inspired choice losing the top. Looks better this way, in my opinion.
  21. Uh-Oh! Now you've gone and given me ideas. I'm watching closely to see just how you pull this off, and so far I like what I see.
  22. What?! You, try something different? Who would have thought...
  23. Richard, you allways come up with such bold color combinations and they always look so right. You've inspired me to branch out a bit, so I actually picked up a can of yellow paint for a Cord that I got on e-Bay. Now if I can just lay it down as nicely as you do...
  24. Oh yeah! With those fenders, it looks so period correct. Fantastic vision you have there. I can't wait to see it reach fruition.
  25. I have entered one IPMS contest, and it was a blast. I'd like to enter more shows, but I only ever seem to find out about them after the fact. So if anyone knows about shows/contests in Colorado (or even Wyoming or Kansas), please let me know.
