  1. "Appreciated" is not always the reaction to advice offered in the spirit of helping fellow modelers, no matter how knowledgeable it may be; it can also get one labeled as a show-off narcissist "know-it-all".
  2. I think I have raccoons in the attic, and most assuredly bats in the belfry.
  3. Hmmmmm. I guess my several 1/24 P-51s, P-40, two P-47s, several Spitfires (one on floats), Stuka, Harrier, Zero, two Hueys, Hellcat, Hurricane, Bf-109, FW-190, Hughes 500, and several WW I aircraft (all injection molded styrene, not balsa kits) are figments of my imagination. EDIT: There are two of the DH Beavers on eBay right now. There is also this kit, which I don't have:
  4. Rotate your tires, rotate your stock, and rotate your crops: always good advice
  5. Manger references in that context smack of religion, in clear violation of the rules, and I'm telling MOMMY!!!!!!!.
  6. Found this one:
  7. Always good to see somebody building something cool from an old and much maligned kit. She's looking great.
  8. Thanks for the heads-up.

  10. Exactly. I'm closing out my part of a multi-year '66 Chevelle SS pro-touring build. My last big job is header fabrication, as due to the engine location, nothing off-the-shelf will work. But there are still countless details and loose ends to tie up to get her to work, to start, to run, to drive like a "real" car. You know.
  11. Did. Since I started actually getting to know them prior to getting involved, it hasn't been a problem. What a concept.
  12. There used to be a lot more kinds of fenders than genders, too.
  13. Looks like beautifully clean, first-rate, professional work. Always great to see something that's so well done.
  14. People believe what they want to believe, or what their peers believe, or what they're told endlessly TO believe ("a lie told often enough becomes truth"), but they very rarely know enough or make the effort to find out the truth for themselves...and they hate anyone who challenges their cherished delusions.
  15. Lack rhymes with quack, and there sho' be a lot of mindless quackin' goin' on along with all the rebleatin'.
  16. That's nothin'. My last two exes both identified as the center of the universe around which everything else revolved. Sure would have been interesting to get them both in the same room. Probably would have touched off a new big-bang.
  17. "Belong" is something some people seem to have a desperate need to do, often at the expense of their integrity.
  18. Nice little fixture. Strips of self-adhesive EPDM foam in the oval holes would prevent marring the work...but it looks like you may have something in there already.
  19. Found this:
  20. Ships or other floating conveyances are not necessary to get to Armadale, in West Lothian county of Scotland.
  21. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
