This is what it's supposed to represent, more or less. Cast aluminum axle bells. Not the best one to start with for a street car running the older style QC.

Complaining about everything was the most obvious real talent of some models I've known.

Fun fun fun with models while snacking on dates, dates, and more dates.

A girl I was considering getting involved with asked why I had so many models, 'cause "you can only play with one at a time...and aren't they expensive?" I asked her how many $400 dollar pairs of shoes she could wear at one time (already knowing she had a closet full). Her response was about on the meltdown level you get if you answer "it's not the pants" when asked the classic "do these pants make my butt look fat?" No more romance there, for which I'm daily thankful.

"Date" is probably going to trigger a whole new crop of those ads we get because everyone talks about "models".

Seems like "one world" government would be a pretty good idea on first thought: improved overall efficiency, no wars, etc., but like a lot of "better ideas" it won't work when the worst aspects of human nature (at our average state of philosophical and intellectual development) are in play.

I'm afraid I'll see my past catching up with me...or...SQUIRREL!!! -
Finding this quote by Richard Feynman kinda made my day: “Never confuse education with intelligence; you can have a PhD and still be an idiot.”
-
That question is as answerable as "why do so many highly 'educated' idiots think they're really superior?"
-
Years of education don't seem to be doing much in the way of turning out generally competent, capable, thinking graduates who can tell the time, figure a tip, or find their way across town without a handheld substitute brain and the requisite app.

Three and almost a half hours of atmospheric spookevilness. Good speakers recommended. -

Very nice. Work like this is really making me want to get into big trucks. Slick idea for the headlights, too. -

Your answer is here, grasshopper:

Magazines with a capacity of over 10 are just as much the cause of what they're blamed for as kitchen drawers with more than 10 spoons are the cause of obesity.

Hurty (potentially hurty, anyway) pass times are discouraged by many of today's helicopter parents.

What Did You Have for Dinner?
Ace-Garageguy replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Man, that looks good. Nothing special here either...just a hearty Tuscan pork and lentil stew, with warm buttered black bread and a cheap California Pinot Noir. Pumpkin muffin for dessert, and dark, strong, black coffee. -
Your biggest blunder
Ace-Garageguy replied to LL3 Model Worx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just flat stupidest model-related thing I ever did was leave the first car I ever got a good spray-paint job on in the convertible top well of my parents' Oldsmobile, in the sun, for hours. Somehow, light coming through the rear plastic window concentrated on the model, just as though it had been a magnifying glass. I vividly remember my horror at seeing my beautiful Pontiac Grand Prix, painted with AMT's metallic green lacquer, warped all out of any semblance of repairable. It was a good kick in the butt, and made me start thinking about things before I'd done something really idiotic. I still have the real '63 Olds, too. -
Care in most things I do has, thankfully, left me with two eyes and ten full-length fingers after over five six decades of continuous playing with things that can be seriously hurty.
