  1. Beautiful car, nice work so far.
  2. Flatulence during a meeting can lead to a loss of focus among the attendees, accusatory glances, and snickering...which has nothing to do with eating Snickers.
  3. Parsons sometimes make sinners a little uncomfortable.
  4. MCMXCIII, or 1993 in Arabic numerals, was a live album by the Velvet Underground released in October of that year.
  5. Island nations used to believe in strong naval and air power, but now it's kinda "meh...somebody else can invest the massive expense required to take care of us".
  6. I'm still kinda surprised nobody's taken up the gauntlet, bought at least some of their tooling, and brought some new pieces to market. With as many highly-skilled old-school modelers as there are who like to work really hard for minimal return, you'd think folks'd be standing in line. Oh wait...that's in a different reality. Never mind.
  7. I don't even want to try to imagine what "presentation settings" are...
  8. You, sir, are a master of double entendre.
  9. A little duct tape or some silicone goo, she'll be good as new (that's the way us mouth-breathin' old geezers fix stuff).
  10. Waste is something lotsa folks don't mind.
  11. This is pretty close... https://www.ebay.com/itm/382730835245?hash=item591c89152d:g:m2kAAOSwRgBiv0uv
  12. There's so much every day, how can you pick just one thing?
  13. Mainstream acceptance aside, the last word in the second-to-preceding post was "mind"...not "nevermind".
  14. Kidding aside...never mind.
  15. I had no idea it's so incredibly difficult to just scroll on by items an individual has no interest in, and so offensive to even see subject lines that one has no interest in. I've often wondered what's the obsession with celeb deaths myself, but have refrained from voicing same 'cause if some folks care, I believe it's their right under the forum rules to post their sadness or remembrances. And frankly, I would like to post WHY I chose to remember Ms. Nichols, but I'm pretty sure that no matter how I phrased it, I'd offend somebody's delicate sense of political-correctness. Interesting, also, that the Olivia Newton-John thread hasn't generated any ire.
  16. Addictive behavior could be thought to include breathing; we're kinda addicted to oxygen..
  17. Live fish-bait has little appeal for the squeamish.
  18. Very interesting. I never would have thought those were digital. I like the Chevy especially.
  19. Color can be described with technical terms such as hue, tint, shade, chroma and saturation.
  20. Blessings upon you and your camel, and may the bluebird of happiness nest in your nose.
  21. Up to my knees in grass I am, as the combination of sun and rain this summer is making the urban crops flourish.
  22. Yeah, I've been dealing with it since '69. These days, I always check the trends on NWS radar (there's about a 4-minute delay from real-time) prior to doing much of anything outdoors, but I got caught this time. A popup t-storm materialized in the 20 minutes it took me to get from the shop to home. This has been a strange weather season here. Usually our weather moves from west to east, and you can get a pretty good idea of when things will happen from the radar. But we've had a lot of stalled systems and high daytime temps and humidity, with more frequent popup storms than I can recall. There are two in the area right now, moving from northeast to southwest, but there was no indication of anything 30 minutes ago. Probably need to shut down the dinosaur computer I use for photo storage. He doesn't much like power outages, which have been frequent with the recent t-storms too.
  23. Binding throttle linkage can be as thrilling as bald tires in the rain.
  24. Lordship of the Flyship was never a book.
  25. Citroen built the SM, one of my favorite vehicles, with a Maserati engine and space-ship styling.
