  1. What is the percentage of JEEP DNA?
  2. I'll betcha if you look at those flies under a microscope, somewhere on them it'll say "Murphy, inc. Made in China".
  3. Two partial "65 Mustang fastback kits in one box. 2 bodies, 2 chassis, and almost enough bits to build a complete stocker. One will end up as an AWB drag car, the other probably something along the lines of a cross of McQueen's car in Bullitt and the Hoonigan special. And every time I happen across one of these kits cheap, I snap it up; parts for a long line of old drag cars I've been working on intermittently.
  4. Congrats ! That's a car I'd really love to own, but I'll probably never get around to another Vic. Take good care of her. She probably knows the way to all the good 24-hour eating places.
  5. You gotta quit thinking that way, Ray. You've shown plenty of fine looking models that anyone should be proud of. Words we use to describe ourselves are powerful, and any time you think "I suck" just hurts you deep inside somewhere. I'm sure EVERY modeler whose work is represented in the video thinks he can improve something, and it's far more constructive to tell yourself "there are things I could probably do better".
  6. Trickest Crown Vic I ever saw had an engine swapped in from a totaled Saleen S281-SC (supercharged), rated around 450HP. Quite the sleeper.
  7. Got heem. Relatively easy for a rivet-counter.
  8. Here's another one... https://www.amazon.com/Lighting-Cars-Trucks-Scale-Smaller/dp/B0056JB482
  9. Several kits are available. This is one. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-scale-car-led-light-system-advanced.html?___store=en_us
  10. Here's a good general overview of things to consider if you're doing your own installation: https://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Lighting-in-Plastic-Models/
  11. I really didn't put it up to be ridiculed. It would certainly be an interesting (and very challenging) alternative to "normal" build subjects, and you'd be certain nobody else on any show table would have another one. But while we're being fair, let's also be honest. "Safe" and "aesthetically pleasing" are not mutually exclusive, nor were they necessarily so at the time this beauty was built.
  12. Absolutely beautiful rendering. I'd love to have the original of that, framed, in a place of honor in my house. I remember in '63 when my parents bought an Olds instead of the Grand Prix they'd been looking at, and I had my own heart set on...and all the wonderful work like this in the Pontiac brochure.
  13. Well done. Are the wide-five wheels and drums rendered in the kit, or did you make those?
  14. A few years back, I bought a couple of Welly '55 Olds kits, as the only game in town for that particular subject. Most of the stuff is pretty well useless to a "serious" modeler, and the scale is some oddball 1/ 26.587723...but the bodies are definitely a place to start if one wants a reasonably accurate '55 Olds, and doesn't want to start with a block of wood.
  15. ...and that, children, is where baby race cars come from.
  16. There are those who just aren't cut out to be car designers.
  17. That is really nice.
