  1. Excellent job-something tells me that this is not your first time with the air brush! You should be proud.
  2. Anyone know of a hardtop conversion for the recent convertible kit? If not, any suggestions for a hard top donor for some light surgery? Thanks!
  3. EVERYTHING about this build is perfect!
  4. Nice build - reminds me of my buds 1:1 done in the same color. Don't have any pics of his, so you'll just have to take my work dor it
  5. X2!
  6. I've tried a few different products, and the Scale Productions are by far the best. I would place the order with HLJ, even if it is on B/O. Unlike some other aftermarket vendors. HLJ is extremely reliable and professional. ALLWAYS great communication. From past experience, they may say 6-8 week lead time, but they usually get inventory in a week or less after I place my order. Just my $0.02.
  7. Awesome work-can't wait to see the finished product
  8. Awesome
  9. I don't like to use chemicals in my house that have strong vapors since I have young children around. An alternative would be to use fine grit sandpaper. Kills 2 birds with one stone-removes imperfections of the body, and removes whatever marker is on the surface. Give the paint a good surface to cling to as well. If you use automotive etching primer afterwards, no problem
  10. I've been building for nearly 20 years and still have this problem. Some of these tips I've tried without much success, but at least I have some new ones to try. Good stuff.
  11. Scenes Unlimited make excellent resin wheels in the Cragar/American Racing style if you don't what to buy a whole kit for the wheels.
  12. Just curious-what wheels are you trying to fit in these sleeves? Doesn't change the excellent tips already given, just wondering. I recently bought Pegasus "19 Irok wheels for a build, but they look more like "14 wheels on a 1:24 car. Guess I need to pick up a set of sleeves for the "look" I'm after.
  13. Nice subjects-well done on all
  14. Nice! The Monte Carlo Aerocoupes were some of the best looking cup cars IMO.
  15. Nice work I've always wanted this kit, but not brave enough to try it. Were the decals a PITA to apply?
  16. I like this one - a lot!
  17. Cool build-I like it
  18. Crazy imagination! takes skill to transform concept into reality - nice work.
  19. I like it - this build has attitude!
  20. Did I read correctly - it took 2 years to fill your orer!?!?
  21. The first thing that grabs me is the paint - excellent job. You should be proud.
  22. Wouldn't change a thing - nice work!
  23. Wow - that's pretty realistic! My only criticism is where's the rust!? ? My wife comes from a long line of VW owners and I swear that they all have rust from the assembly line. Again, good work!
  24. Wow those Colors pop!
