  1. I figured, the second manual is an improvement over the first one for sure.
  2. I wasn't meaning no arm twisting, I thought the two manuals you posted were different transmissions. But I'm not going to lie, the c6 is a great option to have. I love the header options too, that's one of the weak spots of most of the currently available cammers and makes a tough fit even harder. Needless to say I'm down for a couple once they're ready.
  3. Yeah, this really seems like low hanging fruit for AMT/Round2 in particular but the legal issues might have put them off the subject.
  4. There's also the TROG build that's geared toward early hot rods.
  5. If it's anything like his other engines you will have a choice between a few transmissions you can get with it.
  6. Very nice build and perseverance through adversity, well done.
  7. Here's a better article that explains why Shelby is even involved. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/12/13/shelby-trust-eleanor-mustang-copyright-lawsuit/
  8. Yeah, I misread the article a bit.
  9. It doesn't seem like this opens the door for anyone to build an Eleanor clone but at least Shelby can offer them.
  10. I'm on my third or fourth Samsung phone and they've all had excellent cameras.
  11. Not having a traditional theme is making picking a build a bit more difficult than usual. I'm debating on whether to keep my personal Mustang theme going or go back and build my Vannonball entry that I never started.
  12. I started to hinge it that way because I cut it open without thinking the roadster would have a rumble seat instead of a trunk. I went ahead and did it the normal way just to get on to the next step.
  13. That looks like exactly the size I had in mind, thank you.
  14. Wow, that looks much better. I'll have to do that. Thank you for suggesting that.
  15. Hammering the end flat is an interesting option. I was going to try to hide it in a piece of styrene that could be bracing for the underside of the trunk lid
  16. Here's the hinge I made. I would just prefer flat stock so it has better mounting surfaces for the lid.
  17. I had to tweak on the 30 a bit. There was no way to move the engine up enough to work with how low the front was so I ended up raising the front about 1/8". I also made a flat firewall to get a bit more clearance for the engine. I also changed direction a bit, I was going to use the stripped interior but now that the 29 is going to be the more basic build I wanted to dress the 30 up more. This caused a problem. The stripped interior is also the channeled interior so to use the nice interior it also raised the body up. So to counter this I cut the interior frames from the channeled interior side panels and cut the nice side panels down to fit. I also cut the seat down to make the back panel of the interior, now to source some seats.
  18. I typically use gloss paint and then flatten it with a matte clear, especially if I'm going to be adding and decals.
  19. I agree, there's some good stuff in there.
  20. I typically go right side up, we go through our dishes pretty frequently so any dust contamination is minimal. I also religiously check any dish for cleanliness before use. I also don't stack damp glasses so there isn't any trapped water to get funky.
  21. Be sure to vote in the theme poll.
  22. This is the original post by oldcarfan in the theme suggestion thread: "How about a Totally Inappropriate Cannonball? You know, cars that shouldn't be raced long distance. Such as dually pickups, tiny cars with tiny hand grenade engines, maybe huge old luxury cars. I'm thinking a 90s era limo, maybe a Yugo with a high revving 1200cc engine, or a Ford F-350 lowered and filled with a NASCAR engine."
  23. Be careful how you scroll, I just touched the screen and it counted my vote for someone, I'm not even sure who.
  24. Round2 seemed to be doing special runs for Ollie's the last couple years so it's not out of the question for Revell to have done it as well.
  25. Yeah, that's more what I was looking to do. The main reason I don't like the round rod hinges is that there's no good way to mount the part to the rods. It just seems like flat stock would look more realistic like a stamped part.
