  1. Got this finished up recently. Build thread is under the Workbench if your interested ! Thanks for looking..........
  2. Well its FINISHED ! ! Last few parts and more upholstering ( under bonnet, boot and roof) and its all together. Thanks to those who took the time to reply, I can never understand why Lowriders are unpopular on here but each to there own eh ! Look for finished pics in under glass, but for now a sneek peek with the crew from Lowlife Customs, thanks Guys ! !
  3. Flocking great ! ! !
  4. My thoughts exactly ! ! Great idea to build a quick fun car, it made me laugh.....
  5. Thanks Dave.... I would definitely recommend the pens, real chrome in a pen, its a lowrider builders dream ! ! Check out Graff City Ltd on the web, they post in the UK for a reasonable amount. They come in 1,2 and 4mm, the largest I haven't needed much, mostly been using the 1mm. They are great, but straight lines can be tricky so I still use BMF for these and the pens for all the smaller stuff. If you look at the picture above (the separate door especially ! ) the side trim and bonnet are BMF, all the window trim etc is with the pens !
  6. Looks amazing, great work Eric ! THIS SHOULD BE IN THE MAGAZINE.... ! Congratulations on the win too, it's just a shame we can't follow along with the updates now its finished ! Can't wait to see what you come up with next, im sure I'll be following along whatever it is !!
  7. David, Jim, thanks guys, Photobucket is playing up Again .!! As soon as its working I'll get some finished pictures up...
  8. Thanks Joe, next up was paint. This is a Tamiya colour, brightest yellow I could find ! Chrome trim is BMF for the straight parts and molotow pens for the rest. I figured the insides were loud enough, so decided against graphics and went for a straight colour.....
  9. Next up was adding the interior to the floor and chassis. I've added the exhaust, prop, and a few other bits. The firewall was covered in a chrome sheet too !
  10. Very Kool..... Simple idea but it looks great, works really well as a old timer ! !
  11. Fantastic engine so far Chris, this is so realistic its hard to imagine its mostly plastic ! Keep it going mate, your so close to finishing this thing, then its time to fill up that trophy cabinet ! !
  12. Thanks Scott ! More updates soon as its nearly Finished ! !
  13. Thanks Randy ! Next up was the chassis. Main part is sprayed silver, with the smaller parts coloured with chrome pens. The front springs were separated from the spindles and replaced with chrome parts, there is also bare metal foil in there too ! Wheels are Pegasus Ds, with chrome disc brakes added.
  14. Hey Jim, I think your psycho Stang's looking great ! ! Really cool mods so far, I'm enjoying this build !
  15. Also got the engine complete. Painted chrome yellow its basically out the box, with added chrome and wiring.
  16. Been meaning to get this updated ! Apologies for the break in progress ! Interior is complete. Added a scratch built dashboard, added the seats and other bits, and mocked up in the car.......
  17. I'm blown away with every update, its amazing to watch someone with the imagination you have, build something with all these hi-tech gadgets ! Its like watching the future of model building come to life !! Great stuff mate, already looking forward to your next build .....
  18. Great job Graham, I built one the same a while back, transfers are a pain eh ? Good idea building up your skills like this, too many people, me included at times, skip the basics. Toyota looks really good, look forward to your next build !
  19. Hey Chris I'm so pleased to see you back on this build. Everyone gets blown out on projects at one stage or another, so im glad your enthusiasm has returned .. In future, imagine setting this up at a show, all finished.. Could you imagine seeing this for the first time ?? I think its easily the best replica of a real dragster I've ever seen, I'm sure everyone else would agree too ! Your going to be very pleased you finished this, and hopefully very proud of yourself for creating such a masterpiece !
  20. Great job on CHOPT, looks just like the real thing ! Your have to show the builder of the real one, bet he would love this !
  21. Wheels look great, looking forward to more on this ! !
  22. Haha glad you like it Jim ! Stang looks great, I know its probably mocked up but can you get the rear wheel tucked up under the arch like the front ? Think it would make a big difference, a lot more like the inspiration at the top ! !
  23. Coming along great, new wheels suit it well.... How bout using a modern V6 in there? Just thought it might suit it ??
  24. Great work so far, I must agree that rendering is stunning, I'm looking forward to more on this.... PS, i dont know about naughty , more like Eleanor's psycho serial killer sister, that's one sinister looking Stang ! !
  25. Enjoying this, a lot of careful work and its looks great ! Looking forward to more of this one....
