In my opinion you picked the best looking T-bird there is. Should look great with a few custom touches !
-
Thanks ! Thought someone would guess, the glass is crushed sugar ! Glued with white glue, left until just sticky, otherwise the sugar dissolves ! !
-
Thanks for the comments guys ! Well interior is done for now, will be adding ripped headlining but its about finished.... All my pics are with taken with my phone, and the colours look different every shot ?? I imagine when Christine had all the windows smashed, from the outside, it would leave a lot of glass ! Hope this captures it, let me know !! And yes the glass is glued down, it doesn't all fall out if I lift the model up ! !
-
Wow thanks Billy, cant think of anything I need to ask, but I would love to see some pictures if he has any ?
-
Funnily enough I agree with James, above ! Keep the mock up wheels n tires, oh and loose the door hinges ! Looks great, whatever you decide, I'll keep looking in !
-
Looking good Steve ! I've got those chrome pens, pretty amazing ain't they ! I use BMF for side trim still, you can get a straighter line, and the pens for everything else ! On my Revell lowrider 64 I opened the door similar to you and couldn't fit the dash in, glad you didn't have a problem ! Its a good idea, a build like this, get some practice opening doors etc and its not the end of the world if you go wrong ! Yours is coming along well, great job on the hinges !

Nothing to criticize there, looking good so far !

Thanks guys ! iborg, I appreciate the ideas, but Christine was Pristine ! ! When Buddy Repperton and the gang trash her, I can't see the interior getting that dirty, also the dash wouldn't have time to rust ?? But thanks, there's still a lot to go into the interior yet, and I value peoples input ! Thanks Bill, I admire your work a lot, shame I can't get one of your engines for this build ! And from what the director said, they used 21 cars, and only 2 survived. At least a lot of the cars used were rough, they had panels, trim etc molded in rubber, for the same reason Christine had chrome trim and not gold, parts were not that easy to find ! And thanks Mike, I like the idea of footprints, great idea !

Thanks for the replies guys...... And yes I did remember `the perpetrator defecated on the dashboard` but that's one little detail I wont be adding ! Most of the interior is guess work as you never see the interior after Moochie has finished. I'm guessing after he ripped up the seats, and smashed the dash, he got out and helped with the bodywork alterations . So the interior wouldn't be too bad, the outside bodywork suffering the worst. Bit more on the seats and door panels, trying to replicate the inside white seat upholstery hanging out ! Not sure If I'm totally happy with the interior colours, I matched them up as best I could but the they dried darker than I thought ! Anyway a couple of pics, and I should have the interior finished soon, just experimenting how to replicate broken glass, think I've got it ! !

Scratch Building an Aussie Ford Falcon **New update,15/1/18**
Lowlife ! ! replied to ShawnS's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Stunning work Shawn ! Mock up car looks superb, glad to see back on these projects ! -
Looks like it came that way, very convincing, and your usual squeeky clean building style ! !
-
Thought id try the dash first, shame the plastic is so thick and hard to bend....Added wiring, bent chrome and open glovebox, drilled out dials and dents. Theres a sprinkling of broken glass yet to go on too ! More soon.......
-
Interior first, as the body has to be bent around it. I sliced the seats up (well Moochie did! ) and added bent trim, missing handles etc. Just loosely mocking parts together at this point. Once happy with this I'm going to paint !
-
Well I've seen a few versions of AMTs Christine kit, all very nice too, but I thought id try a different approach..... Ive been researching the car, the model and the film and I decided on this..... I'm sure you've all seen my favourite film too, well I'm building Christine after Buddy Repperton and the gang trash it ! ! Its possibly going in a small fujimi diorama, showing the plot at Darnells where the car was kept.... Heres a rough layout........

Stunning build, the best 58 Impala I've seen put together. Paint is out of this world too, and the interior...Wow ! Amazing how so many small details can add to a build, a lot of work with the soft top yes, but overall just good, clean building ! Great job, I hope you do well in the competitions with it, you deserve a win or two !
-
Just amazing work going on here. Love that chop, the way you have the front screen slightly laid back, just great proportions !! Look forward to more of this......
-
Chop looks great, love these old Austins ! Needs a blown Hemi me thinks...
-
Looking good, clever idea blending the bumpers in. Keep up the progress, this should be good... !
-
Lots of little touches on this make it stand out. I really like the engine compartment, and the bumper work. But I agree why the big steering wheel at a weird angle ??

Malone Super Boss finished.....
Lowlife ! ! replied to Dave Van's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I built one of these, must be over 30 years ago ! Great job, he's really gone to town with the details. Can I ask why he painted the graphics , were the decals unusable ?? Oh and more pics please ! -
Really like the Woody, the black wheels really suit it, and you nailed the stance ! ! Dio is just as impressive, wow, so many details.,....
-
Thanks Derick...appreciate it ! Chris, thanks mate, alway's good to see lowriders getting built, look forward to seeing yours ! There's details on the pens in the WIP for this car. Thanks Jim, yes I'm pleased with the paint ! And cheers Andy, nice of you to comment !
