I Would Like Someone To Make Me Some 1/24 Webers
socal76 replied to Quick GMC's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Quick GMC, you might want ti check out the Weber's in the Craig Carter IMSA Camaro as they have always seemed just a touch oversize. I typed in AMT Craig Carter IMSA Camaro and when I got to the images click on the one that has the Peerless Racing along withe the kit name on top of the box image. Scrolled through using the right image arrow and it was like the fifth one> If I had an extra set I would send you them, but only two sets and and still short two sets. Steven -

Hey vintagdragcrazy, you and I seem to be searching for a lot of the same things and have of lot of the same things for trade! What gives? LOL -
38 Crush, I have some metal ones coming. I will see what they look like. He also does some in resin and he may include a pair in a trade we did. Plus I will go into my bookmarks

Greg, I have 4 of them I can send if you need them. Maybe partial on the other trade you are thinking about -
Thought at first the two Porsches would be reboxed Tamiya, like Revell Of Germany has done with some of the Italeri kits. but after reading the posts that say it is all new tooling, Well even more interested now!

socal76 replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Mark, since you have "too many" in 1/24th or 1/25th sell me some cheap so you have some funds to get one of the 1/16th scale ones! LOL -
Sorry to hear. He was a great modeler and a good friend.

Best single year ever?
socal76 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I myself have to go with '66 for Chevy (Impala SS), '69 or '70 for Ford (the Mustang) '70 for Pontiac, (the GTO), the '70 for Buick (the GTX), and '67 for Mopar (GTX to start off) -
New issue just hit my mail box #197
socal76 replied to Jairus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Had to go to purchasing my issues at whatever hobby shop I could get them due to damage from the last two issues of Plastic Fanatic until about two years after Gregg took over from Roy. Had one issue missing half the cover, Thank You USPS! -
The Putty Thrower had a PE set that did either a 66 or 67 Nova SS. Had the grille and some trim emblems.

Stock 1/16 Scale 34 3 Window in Resin
socal76 replied to fractalign's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
There are a lot of things being done in 1/16th scale in 3-D printing that just are not quite there in 1/24-1/25 yet. But still a lot of nice stuff done in the common U.S. modeler's choices. Now when TDR gets that 409 done in 1/25th..... LOL -
Resin '56 Chevy Sedan Delivery
socal76 replied to socal76's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Rob, thanks for checking. I don't have my catalog and since their website is down while they try to get some casting done to get caught up, I could not look. You wouldn't want to "trade" for the '56 would you? LOL I know the answer but have to try at least! -
I know Modelhaus does a '57 Sedan Delivery, but does anyone do a '56? I have seen the R & R '56 wagon and the Modelhaus '56 wagon, but really would like to do a Sedan Delivery. Since both wagon have been discontinued, might be difficult to find either of those if that is what I have to do. TIA, socal76

ModelHaus Closing for Six Weeks
socal76 replied to 59-Desoto's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
DaveM, no you need to send it to me so I can put it in the box and put it on the shelf like much of my resin!! I keep saying I need to finish one, but yet to practice what I preach! Lots of projects started, 0 completed. -
Not to disagree with you, but I think the flocking looks quite good with the color of the inserts on your seats. It kind of breaks up the monochrome look. It would be hard to beat IMHO. With the scheme you have going on in the interior, the flocking could not be better!

A thumbs up on an old pro street car(Matt,& Debbie Hayes,T Bird)
socal76 replied to Jeepxj's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Why bother trying to convert it back to stock when Monogram did a nice 87 Turbo 'bird that was already stock. If you want a non turp, take the engin out of the Revell Cougar XR7 from the same time period. -
I just got my photo-etched ones from Scott at futurattaction. Picked them up at the Kansas City show and you won't be disappointed.

Revell Fox Mustang hatchback conversion kit
socal76 replied to Maindrian Pace's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I too happen to think a convertible would sell very well since there have been so many hatchbacks done and we now have the LX from Revell. Just my opinion, but I think it might be worth the time for Greg to reconsider, while the LX is being done and keeping everyone's mind on that era Mustangs -
