Skip, this ID may only have 140 posts, but I had to create it when my old ID got "lost' in one of the server migrations. Started reading posts around 2007, and I think I only had around 80 posts before having to create the new user name. But I was curious about it lately, since some of my choices from years ago have been done now. The Moiebus Lone-Star and Pro-Star, the Hudson race cars, the '55 Chrysler, a couple of the new tool Revell '57 Chevies (still waiting on the '57 Nomad new tool!), the Revell '57 Ford Del Rio, Revell '56 Nomad and Del Rey. So many of my list have been done now. One I would like done probably would not be great seller, but I would kind of like a '63 Dodge from Lindberg. Another new tool I would like to see is one of the newer Freightliner tractors. But it is also interesting to hear others choices, rather than comments like unclescott58. Don't like the post, why bother commenting? Close it and go on. And I will readily admit, I read many more posts than I submit. I am reading others' posts almost every day. But as you said (respectfully, I would like to add) many recent members have not seen posts like this one to comment on. I had not seen the Nissan Concept Car Tom T posted, but thought doing that in the BRE paint scheme would look cool to me. And stevez's idea of the Lincoln Zephyr made me realize I am not the only person that like that car. If such a kit ever came out I would have more of those than '40 Fords! So it is nice to hear others comments when they are more than critiscisms of the topic

Wayne, I have to agree with what most others have already said and encourage you to keep the kit as is, with one exception. I see the bumper brackets on the back and that bumper needs to be added. That is the only addition I would say needs to be added. To me that would not be destrying any of your friends work, just adding a piece that he would have done himself

Did not know they shut the Tamiay USA facilty down. Great source for getting missing/faulty parts for Tamiya kits. Guess we now have to go to Tamiya Japan now. Shame due to language at times.

Dave's post has me thinkng of cleaning my workbench area but it is 12 feet in length, Planned ahead, but still not worked out in reality!

Thanks Mike did as you suggested. Only 1 post now

Sorry for the duplicate post. Not sure how that happened

Rob, sorry to disagree but I am buying more Linberg kits than AMT right now. Linberg kits were tooled much more recently than any AMT kits. Want the latest tooling just to the advances in tooling! I may be in the vast minority in buying many of the Round2 reissues, simply due to the fact many of the original tools are close to 50 years old now. I know many modelers are grateful to have these reissuies, but having so many of the earlier issues, I am not buying many of these re-issues. Moiebus is getting much of my purchases now.. Distant second is Revell even with a few new tools.. Round2 is a distant second to Revell. Round2 gives me a '67 Nova SS retool and things change!! Let alone a new tool '68 Cuda!!

DaveVan, don't know if anyone yet has thanked you for having all of those IMC Ford kits, but I will! Got a few more for you to buy if that is what it takes!!!
-
Mark, sorry but I do disagree, yes it fits, but this is still a Linberg kit. Round2 could do better by producing it as a Linberg kit to avoid anyone question if this was a new tool or some reissue. Granted I am buying it, but still wish it were issed as an update for a Lindberg kit

Modelhaus '69 Road Runner 6-BBL conversion
socal76 replied to CapSat 6's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Just going to add my 2 cents worth. ANYTHING you get from Modelhaus will be the best molds you will be able to get from the time the molds were done. I will say with Don's announced retirement date he may be so busy casting just to keep up, rather than doing new molds If the retirement date was not an issue, I honestly think some molds would be updated if he had a few more years to recoup the cost of new masters. But I am buying as much of his products as I have the funds to (probably more than!!!). I sure wish I had a valid reason for him to continue!! -
1962 Dodge Dart 440 Hardtop Jo Han C-4162 "USA Oldies" series
socal76 replied to Junkman's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
DR JAY, you know you do not want to build that so you should send it to me to finish! As IF! LOL -
Not the first time a Lindberg kit has had box art errors, but now in an AMT box? Trying to bury the Lindberg name?
-
malstr, can you provide info on the Martini decals? Would rather do that than either of the other two, but if they are not available I will go with the Jeager version.

'74 Vega Bruce Larson USA-1_FYI Reissue Update
socal76 replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Just an update for when/if the kits ever come to market. Da "Grump" used 71-72 Nova wheel openings on his Vega to allow room for the Pro Stock tires of the time. Wish I still had the magazine reference for when the car debuted. But I do remember that fact because I was thinking about doing one using the stock version, before the Pro Stock kit ever came out! -
Tamiya at 2016 Nuremburg Toy Fair
socal76 replied to Exotics_Builder's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Wonder if we will really get the kit with Ferrari's annouced suspension of rights, rumoured to be due to the spinoff from Fiat. -
If you have not yet decided for sure on an engine, what about the engine out of the "Christene" Plymouth Pro Mod that Revell did?

1/25 Revell '72 Hurst/Olds Cutlass Kit
socal76 replied to W-Machine's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Kit is worth the regular retail, but I don't know about the extra just for the resin figure. But I would still buy the figure if someone has one they do not want. -

Both of you are going to be behind me to get one! Jus' saying!! LOL -
Jeff, I have to agree with doggie427. A how-to on the wheels would be great to have as a reference.

The '55 Chevy Convertible was first issued under the Revell-Monogram branding and it did have the Pace Car decals.
