Not that I am aware of . Every 1970 Challenger I know of had either rallyes or 5 spoke road wheels It could be done but will require either resin pieces or a good parts stash

check this auction out.

I've seen the listings before from the same builder before . Pretty interesting subject matter in most cases. But not in the price range I'm comfortable paying. I for one have no problem buying a built kit to display in my case as is ,,,I just don't take credit for it . IF it fits within my interests range. If it looks well built and fits in my price range ,,sure . why not. To be honest I have maybe a half dozen or so I've bought over the years,,,most are older long out of production stuff. -
A major portion of my stash was purchased for less then $10 ea,,,,with many less then $5 ea. ,,,, My local Johnnys Toys you could buy most of the current ( at that time ) 1/25th scale kits for $4.99 and thats just in the last 20 years. Yes,,I'm old enough to remember buying model kits in the mid-late 60's time frame . Build them in a day them crash them the next or sometimes the same day. Then take my allowance the next weekend and do it all over again.

Moebius Models '59 Dodge & Chrysler Turbine Car.
gtx6970 replied to W-409's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Pretty sure there is a wheelbase difference between the Dodges versus Plymouths of the late 50's . And I think the Chryslers were even longer. -

Turbine car does nothing for me ( have several ) BUT,,,,,,, that 59 Dodge would be a welcome addition to the stash -

I've never see any pics of the S+M Birds bottom side,,,,but if they used stock street birds as a starting point they would be either grey or black undercoating -
Not trying to be a nit picker here. but wouldn't info on the all new upcoming hudson kits be better served in a thread about the all new upcoming hudson kits instead of over taking a thread tagged for the all new upcoming 65 Plymouth kit. Speaking only for myself,,, I have zero interest in said Hudson so to wade thru it to ck on updates of the Plymouth just seems counter productive

the cheap stuff at my local auto parts store ,,,I think its Duplicolor -
Ths is my plan. Use the cover photo on the April 1970 Popular Hot Rodding as my basis,,,it's the ONLY picture I have of the car where the actual car and the kits hood scoop match. Ps, great find on the picture of it with a Shaker,,,thats a new one on me.

Sox & martin 1970 Superbird Help needed

That one is a clone, Real Bird, but not the actual S+M car ( I know who the owner is ) . Neither of the actual S+M cars I believe has been accounted for -

best I have been able to gather ,,,,,,Both cars were Hemi 4 spd , with white interior. My question is , with or without console ? As far as decals you can probably get most , if not everything from the Revell 67 GTX , I have Slixx sheet #1367 and it has the S+M decal for the wing. Just be carefull, every pic I have seen of the Bird has been silver lettering, most of the cars had gold lettering on the door and quarter. so keep that in mind when doing a decal purchase This one might work as well http://www.slixx.com/s1367.htm?id=2680 I have this picture as well saved -
I am curious how much better the glue kits look compared to the snap kit once completed and in the case . My daughter and I did one of the snap kits last year and are more than happy with it

If your including drag cars variants. There was also a 1967 Color Me Gone Charger funnycar kit. It could only be built one way. It included an altered wheelbase charger funny car body that was molded in white. The chassis and components were molded in a light grey.

Went thru a similar issue when stripping a Polar Lights 65 Dodge a year or so ago. It was about ready to drop the body in the trash and start over . Finally got the paint to loosen up after soaking in brake fluid for over a week , even then it took a brillo pad to get the paint to come off

Now that is a FED kit I might consider purchasing to actually build instead of using as a parts kit -

Magneto Wiring/Firing Order
gtx6970 replied to Snake45's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I don't think it really matters when it comes to a Mag. All the wires exit the body in one place
