  1. I have several of the AMT 71 Dusters. I just ckd and have the intake, carbs and both pieces of the air cleaner ( sorry, I dont have the 340 long block I will not use it. so if you need It. Pm me and its yours
  2. You sure that's not resin kit
  3. Changed to better pictures. PS, I'll add here. Getting that rear spoiler on there AFTER its painted was tedious. I thought real hard to just leave it off
  4. Painted this one a while back Simple rattle can duplicolor red . Slixx decals. On the recent MPC Challenger kit . Built pretty much box stock Fairly simple kit to build. The only mods I did was I widened the rear track width just a touch to pull the tires out closer to the edge of the body. Decals are designed for the Johan body so they don't truly follow the contours of the MPC body like they should. But it is what it is . I'm happy with it
  5. Chuck sells on ebay as well https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?sid=cboerne&_pgn=1&isRefine=true&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l49496
  6. Like said, the Challenger and Mustang are in line. Cadillac , WAAAAAAY to high
  7. Those are looking killer. Love the MM car I have a few of the AFX kits in the pile. Unfortunately,,,,,Its gonna be a while before I get too them. I have a few bodies painted for some AA/FC builds to finish first. One I should have done by the weekend
  8. What would be the difference between this and the earlier issues of said kit ? Engine maybe ?
  9. various sizes and types of thread for plug wires / heater hoses fishing line for clear fuel lines. Testors tube glue
  10. PS, Im not sure if you could still do it. But watch for unbuilts with issues. Tire marks, cracks etc etc can bring a vintage kit way down in price. I bought this one a few years back. Original issue 1959 Edsel. Completly unbuilt but had a crack in the windshield frame and missing decal sheet . I think I paid under $100 for it .
  11. 1st off , define Vintage to you ? Its 50s and early 60s to myself. It could mean 80s to some But , like said ,,,,Timing is everything. And in this case. Your timing is too late. for the most part. Something to keep in mind, just because its listed for $700, doesn't mean it's worth or will sell for that. I have A LOT of buildups , all old annuals . Actually just about all AMT/SMP/Johan kits from 1958 up thru about 1964 or so . All were bought via ebay . But with exception to maybe 1 or 2, none were in the past 5 or 6 years. Best I remember, I think the last OLD kit I bought was a MPC 1969 Coronet RT builder. And it was less than $100 And I have some duplicates I would cut loose of , most are early 60s annuals . various makes
  12. My 1st one I bought a few weeks ago the figure is MIA. To be brutally honest, Im not sure I really care One of these will be a Charlie Allen silver and blue SS/E car. Im not sure if this 2nd one will be a Landy car.....or something else I have a Landy SS/A dart in the case already, And the 68 Charger + 65 AFX car. My plan is build the 68 and maybe the 69 Coronets later ( I have kits to do both )
  13. Got a 2nd one this week. This kit is getting pricey. Just have to be patient for the right deal to come along.
  14. Very well done Nice color combination
  15. Thanks all, I think Im going to go ahead and put the side stripes on it to match my old car I was originally goign to go a full detail build with chassis and drivetrain from the AMT Duster. But ultimately decided to just keep it box stock call it done Paint is just Tamiya light blue metallic. That took A LOT of clear and polishing to get any kind of gloss. I ended up burning thru a spot on the hood is why I kept pushing it back. Finally, just said heck with it and finished the car this week . In my display case , I will live with it. AFTER I fix that exhaust leak , LoL
  16. I'll dig that box out and confirm And post Pics this weekend
  17. I was so glad this kit was reintroduced Ive wanted a replica of my old car for ages. I actually have an original MPC builder I started years ago. But the tail light bars got damaged . So it went back in the box , Still there to this day So I started this build back right after the kit came out. For one reason or another. It got pushed back more and more . I decided to get with it and finish it this week . Built box stock trying to replicate my old car . I kind of like it without decals, , so for now I think I will leave them off
  18. I have several 69s I've parted out if you want the seats / interior tub
  19. This is the engine from the Lindberg / AMT 1964 Dodge - Plymouth kits It has a single 4 barrel intake option as well
  20. Keep in mind the early B-RB engines have a 4 bolt valve cover. as opposed to these kit suggested engines use a 6 bolt valve cover IF that tiny detail makes a difference to you in scale
  21. I think I got hold of a bad sheet of BMF ( bought it off Amazon ) Ive used the Molotow pens in the past with good results. and is what I will use to touch this one up Actually used one to do all the trim on a Thunderbolt build about 8-10 years ago. And it still looks good But Ive learned you have to use a new pen , or risk drip issues. Found that out the hard way earlier this year
  22. Any issues with these kits to build I need to be aware of.? I have the 65 Plymouth AFX kit on the bench for next up to do Paper Tiger 1
  23. After numerous setbacks with BMF ,'Ive decided to call this one done ( or at least until I get into town to pick up a fresh chrome pen for touchups ) Tamiya black and Nassau blue for the interior . Front bench seat is a scratchbuild using a spare rear seat . with Scale Motorsports decals Lindberg kit with some pieces from the Color Me Gone 64 Dodge Aftermkt decals which turned out to be extremely fragile once on the body. So they are under a couple coats of Tamiya Clear Parts box tires , Resin AFB carbs and prewired dist for a touch of upgrades underhood . I dont get into a lot of detailing , And I dont do contests . So my builds are for me and me alone. That said,,,,,Im not 100% happy with it. But Im calling it done and put it in the case and move on. Hope you like it , comments welcome,,,,good or bad. You're not gonna hurt my feelings one way or the other.

Looks good I built one of these maybe 8 years ago. As a self imposed 24hr build. One of my favorites to this day
