  1. IMO, THIS is scratch built - pure and simple. And I am in awe everytime I ck updates http://www.modelcars...opic=53895&st=0
  2. As far as a factory stock type build,. I think the one and only 1/25th scale is the original issue . But I'm not a pontiac guy so I could be wrong. If there is, I would like to have one and builders pop up on ebay from time to time . They are not of my must have list yet so I haven't been looking to hard . I just did a search and found this if it's of interest ( I'm just passing it on - as it's not mine nor do I know the seller ) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-MPC-1969-Pontiac-GTO-Funny-Car-3-in-1-Model-Car-Kit-NIB-/281025001168?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item416e6536d0 I do know the 1970 GTO was re-issued( I have one here) and the re-issued 1972 GTO is super easy to come up wit
  3. personally I try make everything in house if I can. ( I tend to be something of a tightwad ) my problem has been being able to see the dist cap to drill it, having stuck the mini drill into my finger a few times,,,,,,,,I started buying the done MAD dist
  4. Agreed I watch for them regularly and have bought a few in the past several months . Most recent was a 1933 Imperial kit I REALLY like the early cars.
  5. Love it. Very well done . I've become a huge fan of the early cars (1935 and prior) and same here, have been buying them up as funds allow
  6. Well done, I really really like this one
  7. I never even thought about that one, even any of the Polar Lights chassis could be a good fit. The problem with any of them besides the Johan kit is going to be interior tin choices that fit the MK challenger body with a reasonable amount of work Either way, to the OP, my apologies for the hijak, I think it looks great and would have no problems putting it on my shelf. If I may, what did you use for the body color ? as a general rule the Model King Challenger is accurate for builds representing cars from approx 1972 thru 1974 ish with the Johan more accurate for 1970 thru approx 1972 ish all depending on individual teams and funding determined how often they updated / changed rides
  8. I believe the Model King GTO and the Cougar are close if not one and the same But, even though I have several of each I don't have one handy right now to compare, but from what I do know it would be closer than the MK challenger chassis ps, Johan challengers are all over Ebay ( I just bought 3 myself ) typically they run in the $25-$35 range
  9. Is the Bighorn kit version readily avail today ? friend of mine has 2 or 3 of them
  10. Not anymore.but I've had a bunch over the years . Now, I work on the full size versions for other people. ( I work for myself ) Currently have a 1968 Charger R/T , a 1969 Charger R/T in the shop , with a 1970 Challenger Rt/SE 440 sixpack car coming in this weekend . And I am supposed to be getting a 1951 Mercury M1 pickup coming in this winter. Finished a 1970 Roadrunner 440 six barrel and a 1970 Hemi AAR Cuda last year for customers. few pics here http://www.facebook.com/pages/AM-High-Tech-Automotive/408528952539495
  11. I remember seeing the real thing several years back.and it was early Hemi powered ( man that car was cool ) And until I stumbled on this via Ebay I never knew a kit of it existed. Not in my normal interests line, but one of these might just end up on my radar someday.
  12. Looks good. I started one of this car and had major decal issues so I got disgusted and shelved it . Floppers Rule And I'm not bashing , just making a gentle suggestion but just as an fyi neither car pictured here used the chassis style in the MK challenger funny car. The Johan challenger is a more accurate choice. Johan on the left - MPC / model king version on the right .
  13. Credit card sales is a necessary evil ,,,,,,,,IMO. I pay a monthly service fee regardless if I use the merchant service or not , also pay an additional fee becauee I have a wireless terminal for shows. if I don't sell a single thing via credit cards sales it still costs me about $60 (thats never happend btw ,,,,although I have got real close in the past few months ) I also do paypal ( currently ebay only though ) and I don't pay any fees if I don't use them for a sale . Both have there vices , especially Paypal IF you get a chargeback most merchants will take into considerations from both sides , Paypal could care less about the seller and in every instance ( that I am aware ) of has sided with the buyer
  14. 1st I've heard of the ventura, but I have heard rumers of the 65 Comet and a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere ( I want both btw ) There was blip on a quartermilers board this past spring about them
  15. I have the exact same version . I didn't know of any issues with the body so I just opened my and ck'd it,,,,all is good ( on mine at least it is anyway )

    BADMAN

I can dig it. Same here did one as a kid and have one to do now, hopefully this one will be A - better quality build than the 1st B - survive a tad longer than the 1st
  17. Like the title says. I know there is a Photo Tech detail set avail for the lindberg 1964 Dodge, so anyone know if theres one avail for the 64 Plymouth kit My primary interest is in the long moulding across the back of the decklid it it's avail Trying to salvege a resin body that I'm not all that happy with in this particular area
  18. I knew I'd some them somewhere recently. I have an MPC buildup waiting in the wings I just sent chuck a pm Thanks,
  19. Bump, still looking if anyone knows of one.
  20. I like it so far , it's got a killer stance to it This a 1971 version I assume . What are the plans for it ? Sure would be nice if the decals for the Billy The Kid Stepp car were readily avail for this car
  21. Not sure that I have a 'Holy Grail' any more. But really close to one is my builtup MPC 1968 Color Me Gone Charger funnycar (not for sale either ) Followed real close by a Johan 1969 GTX I've had my share of the mint unbuilt stuff , Then one day I started adding up the investment I had in them and quietly started selling them off one by one . I have a few mint unbuilts that will stay with me as long as I'm here. They are kits I remember building as a kid back then . An MPC Barry Setzer Vega , Soapy Sales Challenger, Judy Lilly 1969 Barracuda..... I have builders of them all as well Then a few re-issues came out to do some others from my youth like the Badman 55 Chevy, the MPC 1/20th Scale McLAREN MK8a , and the MPC LA Dart
  22. Height as well. E 's are the shortest and L 's are the tallest , theres very little from one to the other, but if you measure an E60 to a L60 it gets very noticable It's a shame this kit doesn't come the correct G 60 or F60 - 15's
  23. Steve Juliano does own the RTS duster mentioned. He found it in a long term parking garge in Detroit area. I do not believe he owns or has ever owned the RTS Cuda Or the Sonic Cuda
