  1. Thanks gents. it started off to be a high detail build ( ie, the trunk was cut out to be hinged.) But life gets in the way sometimes, with time passing me by, Plus it being bounced in an out of a box , on and off the shelf for nearly 15 years. Has taken its toll. It aint perfect, or even close to it , especially compared to others builds here. But Im at a point in life to get some of the stash out of the boxes, built and in a case ( actually just ordered a 4th case for the wall this morning, NASCAR Diecast Model Car Display Case 24 Car 1/24 scale (carneyplastics.com) So I decided to just do what it needs to make it display shelf ready.
  2. Well, after nearly 15 years. This one is about done. Its survived many many years bouncing around in a box . Including a cross county move 6 years ago. After retiring last fall. Im trying to get back to the model bench on more of a regular basis. I got it out a while back and its been bouncing around on top of my tool box for about a year now,,,and I simply decided to do something with it . It's taken a bit of a beating over the years. But not enough I feel the need to redo much if anything. The car is a replica of a long time friend's actual car ( he sold it well over 20-25 years now I think ) its gone thru a few owners since he sold,,,,Most recently it sold a couple years ago at Mecum. 1970 Plymouth Superbird for Sale at Auction - Mecum Auctions Ive taken some liberties with the build, so I'll call it more of a tribute to his old car at this point, simply because I want it done, Finally It has its issues , like the nose decals cracked under the clear. It has a mark on the hood now I cant rub out . A broken vent wing frame I need to fix ,,,etc etc. Its come down to the fact I want it out of a box and in the case. But I can see the finish line on it now Picture is taken with a replica I did about 40 years ago of my former 69 GTX
  3. Ok, Let me know. I may be in for 2 of them
  4. Unfortunately for me, They are 1966 Plymouth Satellite. ONLY A 1966 Belvedere used one very similar, just without the 3 bar spinner
  5. May I ask where you got it or made it ? If so I would be interested in a copy for my Johan 1970 Roadrunner body / replica of my old car
  6. Old annuals are my favorite. But for a modern kit. I like the Revell 1964 thunderbolt kit
  7. Maybe I should ask for royalties rights. This is my old car ( just kidding btw ) Photo: 69PGTXConv | 69 GTX & Road Runner album | mofobow@hotmail.com | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy.
  8. Factory cars, yes. But a lot of the clones do not

  12. Cool kit If I didn't have a pile waiting for me I would give some serious thoughts to one of these
  13. I wouldnt mind having the 72 grill insert and rear bumper
  14. I didn't even know these were out yet. Snagged one at my local ace hobbies today.
  15. Pick up some half round wood strips Put double sided tape on the flat side and stick to the shelf front and rear Paint or stain the wood strips the color of your choice
  16. Thanks, I went back and forth for days looking for info / trying to determine the correct color. I decided on a Tamiya rattle can color , cant remember the name but its a pearl white with a high gloss clear on top of that ,,,,,I think. The kit can be a little tricky to get the body assembled. If I were to do another one. I think I would cut the floor / chassis out of it and assemble the body as one piece. Then build it like a normal modern day kit
  17. These threads always turn into wish lists How about any 1962 thru 1971 Dodge pickups
  18. Best I have. I built this close to 10 years ago now I think. I went with a pearl white. As I never found with 100% certainty the exact color. Was it green.? Was it blue? Was it white ? Or some combination of the colors. No matter..mines done and I have zero interest to change it now.
  19. I've got one I built several years ago. They make for a nice shelf piece once done
  20. I did. They do nothing for me. But the sponsor that put the meet and greet together wanted that photo ( Griotts Garage btw )
