I used to own a Ford Contour SVT. That car was a BLAST to drive with its V6 and a 5spd Im not a ford guy at heart so I didnt keep it more than about 6 months . Buit it was sure fun while I had it.

Agreed, Once the demand falls off I will probably get a couple more. I have a couple Pro Stock versions I want to build as well as a replica of my old car. And I think the 68 Coronet hardtop will be just as much in demand.,,,,if not more so.

I talked to the counter guy at a local hobby shop. He has them ordered . But as of last week, no release date when he gets them. And based on other stuff he has, Im thinking they will be in the upper $30s price range ea. Hobbylink still shows not avail I bought 2 of them off ebay , just to be safe. I've missed out on a couple kits the past few years because I waited,,,,I wasn't taking the chance with these.

Having recently retired from the day to day work force. I've decided to do some modeling projects that have boxed away for several years. 1st up is a replica of a friend's car. I started long ago. Petty blue 440 six barrel Superbird. Johan body and interior tub. Amt chassis. Parts box drivetrain for multiple cars ( still need to find some pieces I had for it. ) Spent the day today polishing imperfections from paint that's at least 10 years old. Long way from perfect But I can live with it.

IMO the hood stripes work if its a light color. White, yellow , butterscotch or maybe a light green, On a darker color,,,not so much. I much prefer a body color hood . The wing I could live with,,,or without

I sold off all my big money hard to find kits years ago. At least the unbuilt stuff. I still have a boatload of builders in the stash. Mostly late 50s-early 60s Annuals About the rarest kit ( if you want to call them rare ) I still have are builders of the Johan 1970 Roadrunner, 1970 GTX and I have a few of the 1969 GTX As for old unbuilt. I have a sealed Barry Setzer Vega Funny car that will remain as such, But I have several builders of it to do.

2 questions, Is the 72 grille scratchbuilt ? And are you sure the lower K member isnt down too low. The actual cars dont hang anywhere near that low below the frame or radiator support Otherwise I think you nuts. But in a good way LoL

The body is basically the exact same excepot for some trim. Big difference in the grill and tail lights / trunk lid panel. Interior has a different pattern but that I can live with . Its the exterior stuff that needs major changes. Unless I can find someone capable of making it 3d printed
