Subject matter..period Imo. Anything else is secondary. Cost is a factor. But if the subject matter interests me. I will pay yp to own it. -

Depends entirely on just how hungry you are and if anything else is avail. There are Micky D's in nearly every street corner. But if they were days apart and you were hungry...that $50 dollar cheesburger would taste pretty good. My point is. Sealed 1970 Challenger kits are NOT on every street corner. And someone...somewhere wants one. Seller just has to find him. Like I said....if one doesnt like the price...why bitch about it. Simply move on and enjoy what you do find. And btw...that some one who will pay that.....is NOT me. I've had my days where i had shelves stacked with big money unbuilt kits. I sold them all and moved on to something else that i enjoyed. And for what its worth. I recently sold some builtups ...had 1 ea. (Not here btw ) MPC 1970 and 71 challengers. 1970 and 71 Cudas . All four sold in minutes for almost $375. By some standards they were only worth maybe $20 -30 ea. The guy didn't have them . I did. ...he wanted them and could afford them. He now owns them. -

Why.? Just because someone can and is willing to pay up to get something THEY want with THERE money. They have to be labled as crazy or insane etc.etc . I dont get it. If you don't like the price. No one is holding a gun to your head to buy. Move on and enjoy life as you see fit. -

EXACTLY, If one doesnt like the price, its simple really. Move on and enjoy life in the way you chose . Dont bash those who can / will pay the price to get what they want Like I said earlier. There has been times that kit would sell for that. But IMO those days are behind us -

Its been a few years. But kit was posted with a low opening bid. Best i remember im thinking maybe $50 ????? And a couple bidders got into a bidding war. And the kit sold for over $1000 This happened maybe 5 / 6 years ago maybe. I had one still sealed inside. And listed it and mine only went to about 400. Went to japan -

Yea, I think I'll keep her. I might as well,,,,,,, She has put up with me for the better part of 30 years now. We've been without old iron in the garage for several years. And actually started looking a couple years ago, Almost bought a 67 GTX in late fall of 2017 , but the cross country move idea was starting to brew in our heads . So any potential car purchase got put on hold. My original budget for a car was in the 30k range . So When I told her I wanted to up the budget for THIS car I thought she was gonna shoot me. Luckily she didnt and it took me a while to get her to sign off on it. But I WILL be remodeling our master bath once I retire next year , and possibly install all new tile floors in the house ( AKA the schmoozing begins ) its ALL good on our end , and I got the call this morning . Passport Transport picked it up this morning from Cincinnati Ohio. . So,,,it should be here sometime next week or so I think . And I can hardly wait . Once in the garage I will be spending several weekends in there cleaning this one up,,,,,,,due to its been sitting in storage for almost 2 years
