  1. I personally paid $500 for a dead mint sealed 1968 Color Me Gone Charger funny car. Then opened it right in front of the seller. I thought he was gonna have a coronary. Kit itself was perfect but had a tire burn on the decal sheet. Ended up doing some trading a year or so later and found a dead mint decal sheet for it . then sold it a couple years later , even made a little money on it. maybe 10 years ago, I bought a factory sealed Barry Setzer vega funnycar on ebay. Once it arrived it sat here for a few months sealed but I finally gave in and opened it. Kit and sheet were perfect, and I still have it today. Sealed vintage kits have a different following than open kits or builders. its been a few years but there for a while there were maybe 2 or 3 guys bidding against one another and paying some serious change for sealed kits. I watched one guy in the course of a few weeks grab ( all factory sealed ) Multiple MPC Mopar kits. and NONE were under $500 , most were in the $7-800 range. He got a sealed 1970 Challenger for over $1000. And as for comparing MPC 1969 Coronet RT promos to kits ,,,isnt even close. I saw , bid and lost out on all 3 of the 1969 Coronet RT conv promos. Between the 3 of them they topped out at over $8,000 . That one is the holy grail in the Mopar promo world
  2. I built one of these new WAY back then
  3. Thanks. I've sent an email to MCW. And asked if I can buy just the 1966 grill... Nothing ventured...nothing gained
  4. Thanks for the pics. I'm aware of the differences. I wish I was more computer literate...but I'm not. Maybe some enterprising individual can take these pics and convert them to be 3d printed. Please !!!!
  5. Anyone have one of the MCW sedan kits they can post pics of please
  6. Biggest difference is grille and tail lights and decklid trim. I'm not overly concerned with 100% correct interior. But need the exterior trim to be as close as I can get. (I'm in process of buying a 1/1 car )
  7. Ok, I'm looking for a small scale 1966 Plymouth Satellite , I know there was never a kit made . BUT is there a resin version done. Im aware of the MCW Belvedere but its a 2 door sedan . I need 2 door hardtop. How about diecast , I would prefer 1/25th - 1/24th scale but will consider a 1/18th if thats my only option
  8. This is the closest thing I have to a custom. But its pretty close to the oldest kit I have from a long ,,,, LONG time ago. This will stay EXACTLY the way it is till the day I quite breathing.
  9. model boxes go in the trash. unless its one from a vintage kit . Even those I have quite a few I may just toss ,,,no one wants to give me anything for them and I'm getting tired of them taking up space
  10. Last order I made was small. A few sets of tail lights and a few different sets of promo style hubcaps for some late 50s annuals I have . I did manage to meet up with a gentleman in Phoenix this past spring ( Sorry,,,dont remember the mans name ) and he had a decent assortment of Modelhaus stuff. spent maybe $100 with him , mostly replacement Johan bumpers and grilles. I bought every grille and front bumper he had for the Johan 1970 Roadrunner and GTX kits
  11. Cool. So I'm not loosing my mind
  12. For some reason inkeep thinking the red inner fender liners are both front and rear. Or were they fronts only?
  13. Doubtful. I think . Hope there's a better chance for a pre-1972 Dodge truck
  14. Dude. You NAILED this one bigtime . I'm a closet fan of these cars and love this build
  15. There is/ was a red 1958 300 hardtop on ebay just a few days ago that was priced pretty good. ( like well under $100 ) Not sure if it is still on there or not Wife will shoot me if I buy anything small scale ...at least for a while (Currently trying to buy a 1/1 classic. )
  16. Sorry. But I'll respectively disagree with this. I've done some work on an original fc7 paint aar. And can assure you there is purple under the blackout.
  17. Thanks, Seems there were several 57-58 Variations of these cars by them. I already have both of the 1957 300 convertibles , the white Danbury and black Franklin mint cars. So felt a nice hardtop would be nice . They did make a red 1958 300 hardtop variation if one desires. But i really liked the color of this version .
  18. Theres not many I'm looking for but feel free to send me a copy please
  19. Price they can bring is very subjective to subject. Some of the more common cars/trucks can be bought on the cheap. But most of them can and do bring over $100 on a regular basis ( some WELL over ) I looked for a while for one of these mint green 1958 New Yorker hardtops and finally made an offer on one and it cost me $125 plus postage to get it ,,,and I have no regrets . Car is dead mint in its original box
  20. I didnt get any pics of it, but yesterday on I10 heading west , south of Tucson , ( maybe coming out of the Vail AZ area ) was a real clean looking old Ford F100. I 'think ' it was a 1960 but wouldn't bet the farm on the year . Nice looking truck I might add it seems to be the time of year more and more old rides are coming out to play around here. Although temps in the upper 30s when the sun goes down might kill that for a few ,,,,brrrrrr
  21. Not sure the beginning years/ years . But prior to Mopar Perf. it was called Hustle stuff I believe Skunk works ? Mopar had several off the record places/people they supplied parts to. Some well known ,,,,some not. Think Jimmy Addison fame for one. ( aka the Silver Bullet builder ) Yes, the 1971 Roadrunner had a urethane covered body colored front bumper. Im pretty sure a rear was avail as well
  22. This is the 1st Ive ever heard that an A body automatic trans was different length than an any other pass car auto trans
  23. Same here, then again this car/ show has a pretty good fan base so maybe not. ( my daughter included in said base ) Me personally I have zero interest. I hope it sells thru the roof, then maybe we can get some more obscure kits in the future
  24. I live less than 50 miles from the Mexico border. ( moved here last year from Northern Ky ) Bought a house at the base of the Santa Rita mountains south of Tucson Az and LOVE it. If I never see snow again, Im good So all you guys that have snow,,,Keep it there ,,,,PLEASE
