  1. Correct No 60 or 61 Chrysler 300. the 1st one in scale was the 62 I'm taking the remains of a 1962 300 and combining with the remains with a 1961 NY and make my own 1961 Chrysler 300, might even chop the top off and make a 1961 300 convertible in 1.25th scale
  2. Thats cool. I have several survivors from a long time ago.. Some are my builds......some built by others. 99% of them will ever come apart to be redone . I remember building this Vette kit and have thought about picking up another ...just for the nostalgia sake of it.
  3. The large oval chrome air cleaner is race hemi only. Max wedge cars had 2 small black round air cleaners hsgs
  4. Ive done this several times with good results. Takes a couple coats to get the black look, one coat and its look purple
  5. Another Johan 1969 Roadrunner, Like I really needed another one.,,,,,,,,BUT the price was right and its molded in white .
  6. Meaning one model line, from beginning of production to the end ? None
  7. Interesting question. I was wondering the makes and models of just about all of them. And on a side note. I can only imagine th time and effort to restore any or all of these. As I'm sure fro the most part they are all zinc diecast. which time is not good to Thanks for all the great pictures
  8. I think I saw this car on a trailer in our hotel parking lot back in the early 90s . We were in Atlanta at the time. And best i remember it was a 409 , ( had the hood open at the backside along the cowl )
  9. Im not a nascar fan persay, But, wow that looks good
  10. I have a bunch of bumpers to be plated. BUT, the whole if the plater looses one of my bumpers I get an ' oh well ' has me worried. EVERYTHING I would be sending isn't exactly easy to find. NO offense to George as I do realize if not his fault. But I'm still out a bumper for lets say a 1958 Ford Sunliner. REALLY tough to find is an understatement Ive been buying bumpers ( mint chrome or plated ) off eBay and Facebook the past few months . No worries for me that way and I still have my originals as a backup
  11. Same here. for 2 reasons, 1st - most of what I build are old annuals most of the time they've been painted and stripped at least once, sometimes several times. SO the emblems are not as crisp as a modern kit allowing me to do the few coats of paint then foil method. 2nd - I use rattle cans 99 % of the time ( which Im sure plays a part in my method ) and this method helps hide the edge of the foil , so to speak
  12. I believe the paint code is T7 Just for grins . ..... the above and this one are pictures of the same car. As Found in a Canadian junkyard There were a total of 3 1970 Hemi Coronet RT convertibles. This one, Sold new in Canada , there was a FJ5 limelight one, sold new in Switzerland .( imported back into the US maybe early 90s timeframe. ) Then a 3rd one produced/sold for the US market , that one is unaccounted for as far as I know
  13. I believe it was MCW made them for this car as well. ( no idea if accurate or not ) BUT it required a resin body purchase to get them , I said no thanks. I'm still wanting to know what the decal on the decklid said . Ive never found a clear picture to show that area If you find them to do either the 1964 max wedge hardtop and/or the Hemi sedan , PM me. I would like them as well ps, I "THINK ' the decals you have would work for the 63 Plymouth . Ive yet to find a color picture of this car but IMO the letter is all white
  14. Modelhaus used to. Ive seen it in resin elsewhere....just cant remember who or where . I " might" have a spare grille. But dont want to say for sure. Will ck this weekend
  15. WOW, , just seems so mediocre But, WOW,
  16. yes it does. I have a built Chevy2 and compared it to a builtup Chevelle I have here I almost think the chevy 2 interior tub will work in the malibu body. Might have to do some work on the pkg tray area at the most wheelbase between the 2 is dead on identical
  17. In 1.25th scale the difference will be minimul at best...if at all. I would take a look at the amt 1969 gtx conv kit.
  18. If I see a build that appears well done. I'll comment . If I see issues , especially blatant ones . I just keep any and all comments to myself. No worries about said slippery slope so to speak. Even though I think most people can and are willing to accept minor critiques. Momma always told me, cant say something nice, say nothing at all
  19. I dont understand. if they're not for sale,,,,,,, so to speak, why design them ?
  20. Looking good so far. I had a decent original mpc 1970 ...but decided i would never build it. So i sold it a few months back
  21. Looks killer. Ive been wanting to build this car myself. Never thought about using thw cougar chassis and stock amt body. You given me an idea i cant get out of my head . Ive no real interest to build a stock comet. And have a bunch of amt cougar funnycar kits i can use for chassis . Did you use the cougar int tins ?
  22. Looking good
  23. Conversion kit to change the Revell 67 GTX into a 1966 Satellite Conversion kit to change the AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 into a 58
