  1. I just used engine enamel in a rattle can ,,don't remember if Duplicolor or Plasticote
  2. I picked one of these up a few years ago and I'm thinking its coming to the front of the line quickly. My questions is how to replicate the cane work design on the sides of the body. ( there no decals in my kit ) Did the kit originally have decals? if so anyone have them to spare if not Im looking for suggestions on just how to proceed. Ive seen the 1/1 in person and REALLY want this car in my case
  3. Stumbled onto this one by accident and would REALLY like to have one in the display case Anyone know if it does or did exist in scale . It can be a plastic kit , resin or diecast doesn't matter 1-25th or 1-24th scale is my preference https://superautoworld.blogspot.com/2018/12/1935-hispano-suiza-k6-cabriolet-by.html
  4. Nice guys. Ive got all the ones shown stashed back for a rainy day. Me thinks said rainy day is gettin closer by the minute
  5. Im not 100% sure but I think they were avail in White. Blue. Black and a machine turned look . Need parts book to confirm..which i no longer have
  6. WOW, WOW , WOW this is just insane to think its a scale model
  7. I could be wrong. But i think the only difference between a letter car versus a non letter car is the powertrain Letter car got the 413 Non letter car got a 383 I dont know these cars that well. So i may be wrong. Ps. Ill need to ck. But i used to have an extra 62 hardtop kit. I know I have at least one ea of an original conv and hardtop. "I think " i have a spare hardtop.. Memory isnt that good anymore so guess i need to ck .
  8. I might have a spare long ram intake setup. If i do....its yours if you want it Will ck tonight
  9. Tough. Yes. Impossible. No. Ive bought trashed / customized builtups just for the interior. I think i have 2 maybe 3 correct interiors stashed away. Last one i bought cost me maybe $25 give or take. I put the later tub in it and resold the builtup kit for cheap.
  10. Keep in mind, the USA oldies version of the 62 300 has a 65 300 interior tub in it
  11. None on any of mine. 1st make sure decals are dry . put them on a let them sit a few days 2nd the first 2 coats go on kind of light. then let it sit an hour or so ,,then the last one or two get laid on the Vette has maybe 5 or 6 coats on it. All over top of the decals
  12. I personally thing it dries a little shinier than Tamiya clear. All these were shot with it , straight out of the can. with no polishing of any kind
  13. Well, If all goes as planned. it will be this car 1966 Plymouth Satellite , 426 hemi . Factory black exterior with a red interior. bucket seats and console auto. All factory equipment for this car. ( owner upgraded to 15" chrome magnums and radials )
  14. Thanks for that. He had several items I needed
  15. You know I'm not a bug fan of the later sixties big Fords like this . Love the 64 and earlier cars though But WOW you sure have me thinking I need one ,,,,or 3
  16. Selling here or not makes no difference to me or not. But I will say the silence since taking several peoples money for lifetime subscription speaks VOLUMES. ( I was NOT one of them ) I certainly wish him well in this latest adventure. BUT if this goes bad . And I seriously hope it doesnt ,,, It will put a stake thru the heart in the mag without question
  17. Yes, PLEASE. and ANY livery is fine with me .
  18. My plan is thin down to just old annuals and vintage drag cars. Those alone probably amount to over 200 cars, still more than I'll likely finish before I'm breathing dirt. But the rest are going bye bye , piece by piece. I'm in process of buying a rather expensive vintage 1/1 car. that I want to have here by years end. And as such,,, odds are my time at the bench will become even less than it already has the past couple years
  19. I built an AMT 1970 Superbee years ago and used the Monogram wheels and tires and they looked right at home.
  20. Ive already begun the thinning process. I plan to thin at least a few hundred kits out of the pile over the next year ,,or less if I can My wife and daughters have already said they have no interest in the unbuilt stuff.( regardless of age , condition, subject matter or value) Should something happen to me, they would sell the unbuilts and builders and keep the built stuff.
  21. Gee. I wonder what was inside ......
  22. I used to own a GSXR , so this one REALLY caught my attention
  23. Im not a motorcycle guy , or even any kind of Harley fan. But this caught my eye for the simple coolness of it https://www.ebay.com/itm/Maisto-1-24-Harley-Davidson-1936-EL-Knucklehead-Motorcycle-and-1948-Ford-F-1/333180969647
  24. Shame to see such a car in this shape. But I'm afraid this one is well beyond the option to bring it back,,,,,,,, IMO
