  1. Ive read elsewhere long ago that the 1965 MM car was a pieced together car. Odds are the interior was a mixture of parts. So I have no idea which is 'correct' for this car BUT a 1965 A990 car would have this interior. Problem is, the A990 was a sedan , where as the MM car was a 2 door hardtop PS< Tamiyas Champagne gold is a very good match for this color
  2. Ive always liked this car in this very livery. And I'm not a builder of this type race car yet, I keep telling myself to find a model kit to build someday. problem is my wallet never seems to agree with me when I think about pulling the trigger on one
  3. Both the Dodge and the Plymouth have a Dana rear axle. That was never avail in 1964
  4. Not 100% sure, but I think it depends on the time of year. At the beginning I believe they were all stock wheel bases.
  5. I "think" the Landy 440 Dart uses the same 1968 body as the Hemi Dart. aka no molded in vinyl top I would ck, but the only 68 Dart kits I have on hand are the Hemi car or the Norm car
  6. Plymouth on top. Dodge on the bottom
  7. Found this picture I took a few years back. 64 Dodge on the right , 64 Plymouth on the left
  8. 1968 SS/EA class car. 440 auto, fender well headers . yet had the full exhaust still mounted Black interior bucket seats, aftermkt shifter auto on the floor but no console I have a magazine around here some where with more info. I will be in the garage the rest of the day,, If I get a chance I will see if I can dig any other info up
  9. Something I ran into on this very conversion.,,,, the Plymouth body is about an 1/8" wider than the Dodge body so the roof needs split down the middle and widened to make it work on the Plymouth lower body. If I try again, I may just remove the Flinstone resin 64 Plymouth roof and transplant it on a stryene kit lower body
  10. I'll edit my original statement. There were in fact .,,facyory built hemi powered 2 door hardtops But they're were not light weights and had the stock 4 head light grille. Yet had the same wide flat hood scoop the hemi sedans came equipped with. Still digging for info on interior choices avail for these . Hemi sedans were all light weights.(aluminum front sheetmetal ) 2 head light grille. With the bostrom style light weight bucket seat interior. No back seat.
  11. Fill me in, what did Arruzza do to it
  12. ALL of these look killer gentleman. I for one ( doubt I'm alone here ) would LOVE to find a clean 1970 AMX builder
  13. Well I gotta say. It looks good. Love the color combination. It definitely has the late 60s /early 70s street car vibe to it with the tires / wheels and lack of fender skirts . Makes me think of it as Junior got moms hand me down fury in high school and he spent all his money 'fixing it up' at nationwise auto parts Well done my friend , LOVE all the little details you put into it
  14. I don't remember anything else about it, and right now have NO idea where its at ( we moved across country last year and 90% of my model stuff is still packed away.) Best I can remember the lettering on the decklid trim across the back was so faint and/or full of pinholes . There was no way was it going to survive even a few coats of primer , paint and clear . I think I had decided my best option was just eliminate it altogether and move on . Then the make my own idea popped in my head . I started a conversion of my own using the Dodge sedan roof on the Plymouth hardtop body. . I got as far as a basic trim and fit then shelved it for some reason . No idea where even its at right now I'm in process of configuring the garage / making a model work bench area . But its at least a couple months away from completion due to I have other projects I have to complete before any model bench time can resume .
  15. Let me know please if his is any good. Please. I have gone as far as making my own . (That's still unfinished ) Biggest issue i have with the JF version is the trim across the back edge of the decklid is unrecognizable.
  16. I bought mine off ebay. Maybe 2 years ago?????
  17. Ps. I assume the 64 sedan body you have is resin. Mind if i ask. Who made it. I have a flintstone resin body.....I'm not impressed.
  18. 1964 max wedge cars were avail with any interior color ..even bench seats. Late 1964 and all 1965 Hemi cars were all same/similar to the Flash 65 Plymouth. I think 1964 hemi cars were either fawn gold or red interior. (Bucket seats ) I'll need to verify color options. Will update when i find out for sure 65s were all fawn gold bucket seats. Max wedge cars ended mid model year 1964. Then Hemi production took over.
  19. Any Tail stripe colors were avail on any exterior color. Some might not be 'recommended ' but chrysler would build pretty much any way you wamted it. I know of a 1970 challenger thats sand pebble beige exterior. Red painted roof and red interior.
  20. Light weight was avail in both. Single headlight grille is hemi only. (Unless customer / owner added ) Hemi is sedan only. Max wedge was both hardtop and sedan body styles .
  21. cool picture, Those early X frame cars sure twisted up good on a sticky launch
  22. I know someone with an A4 silver 1969 Charger with red interior and it looks amazing ( red tail stripe) I can also know of an A4 silver 1969 Charger 500 that has blue interior ( black tail stripe ) IMO black interior on a silver car is boring ,,but then again, I'm not a huge advocate for black interior cars anyway That said, I restored a clients car a few years back that was silver , blk vinyl top , tail stripe and interior
  23. Does the Mica Silver have a metallic to it ?
  24. Considering i dont build anything newer than maybe early70s. You could say. Nostalgia is the only reason i build models. ?
