disabled modeler Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) What should be....you know they would sell... 69 Impala HT 68 Bonneville HT 69 Bonneville HT 70 Bonneville HT 69 or 70 Grand Prix What should not be.... Dukes Charger glue kit....might as well come in a box of cereal they have been out so much. 57 Chevy Nomad kits....I think everyone has at least 1 or 2 sitting. 78 Dodge van kit....to me its just too ugly...needs to be restored to the 71 to 76 years body styles tell me those would not sell. 63 Impala kit....done so many I am bored with them...think others might be too even though its a good kit. 62 Chevy HT....same reasons....its been re-issued too much lately. Just my thoughts...I am sure others might feel differently? Edited March 22, 2015 by disabled modeler

Atmobil Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 For me, I could have wanted to see a reissue of these: Esci 1984 Ford Transit Grip 1974 Honda Civic RS MPC 1978 Chevy stepside 2wd Heller/AMT Renault 8 Gordini ERTL Volvo N12 And I can probably think of more kits aswell. These I think should not have been reissued: MPC 1972 Pontiac GTO Can't think of anymore at the moment.

I believe the AMT Sunbeam Tiger has been reissued several times. The original Alpine version, with 4-cyl engine, I don't think ever has. (Get Smart car.)
Drake69 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Also, would love to see some of the Chevy Monza kits I missed during the 70's, with the option of either stock or "street". A few Mustang II's and a Cosworth Vega would be nice (kinda back to retro 70's theme...) An AMT 70's Dodge Van, along with more of the other fancier vans of that time like the offroader and "Convoy" vans. And there definitely needs to be a hearse, Ecto-1 is good but a plain jane Caddy hearse cna be built up in so many ways. And although I like the brand cars, I am so sick of seeing constant new reissues of Mustangs all the time. I know the companies make the kits that sell, but we have enough '60s ~ '70s era fastbacks on the shelf now, don't we? Can't you just focus on producing a DECENT '71 Mach 1 instead?

Monty Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Bring ‘em back! AMT 1969 Ford Falcon – was reissued but not in stock/street machine form AMT 1970 Mach Won funny car – my Holy Grail car. AMT 1977 AMC Matador stock/street machine - $45.00 + on ebay. Somebody likes 'em. MPC 1970 Dodge Charger – Apparently Revell still can’t be bothered to do one MPC 1971 Dodge Challenger – I’m guessing this was turned into the ’72-’74. Never again? MPC ’67 GTO – Kill it! Kill it with fire!
Can-Con Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Here's another question,, name 5 kits that could actually be reissued that haven't been modified into something else? From off the top of my head ,, '79 Nova '79 ['80] Monza VW Rabbit. Um,,, um?? The '69 Lincoln should have been out there somewhere, maybe. Then there's the Shelby Charger [Omni] Subie Brat and a few others but nothing I'd really make my last request in front of the firing squad.
