Phildaupho Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 This model was inspired by Vic Edelbrock’s Chopped 5-Window Deuce Coupe as one of two Deuces that will appear on the poster for the Deuce Days in Scale Model Car Show that will take place in Victoria BC Canada next year - Sunday July 24, 2016 in conjunction Northwest Deuce Days which happens every three years and has become one of the premier hot rod events. It attracts over 800 pre-1952 cars. Of those over half are Deuces. Once the Deuce Days in Scale poster is ready I will post more information on the model car show. karbuildr Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Love the blend of old school and new school, gotta love a deuce. Great stance as well.
Bernard Kron Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 A Klassy Kontemporary street rod! This came out very nicely indeed. Even the modern oversized wheels and low-profile tires make sense in the context of the color choice and stance. So few of these types of cars "add up" and too often have odd and conflicting design elements. But this one come together very well and looks pleasing to the eye. Bravo!
Phildaupho Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Thanks everyone for your favorable comments. I am already looking forward to my next Deuce project.
Jantrix Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 That is a top shelf model. Very well done. Cool way to merge the paint and the decals.
Phildaupho Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks guys. Here is a photo of the chassis I forgot to include with the original post. The poster for Deuce Days in Scale 2016 has been completed with this model and my blue 3-window and I think it looks fabulous. I will be doing a new post with the poster in the near future. Maindrian Pace Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Great juxtaposition of classic and contemporary styles, and who doesn't love a clean flame job. Great Deuce all around. -MJS
