crazyjim Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 This puppy is finished in Gravity Ferrari Rosso Metallazzato. I used their clearcoat oo. Nice stuff. Rolled the pans, frenched the F & R lights, mesh grille, 390 engine, solder exhaust.
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Thank you Dan and Ray. You guys are quick. Just a couple of minutes and I hear from Canada and Australia. Pretty cool. Dan, it's the Lindberg kit #72172. Very nice kit to work with.
Helix Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Yep, way past my bedtime here Jim, nearly midnight Thanks for kit info...
BigTallDad Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Very nice build. I also like the Viet Nam campaign ribbon for the front plate.
Grumpa Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Nice looking '53 Jim! I love the wide whites, and the rear end treatment!
Jantrix Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Wow. I surprised to see white walls coming from you Jim. That's not your style. Looks great.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Nice to see one of these with a 390 FE T-bird engine swapped in. Sure would be quicker than the old faithful flathead.
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Thank you all very much. The Vietnam ribbon goes on every one of my builds, Ray. You know me too well, Rob, but I have a few sets of wide whites around. This '53 was begging for a set to keep it old school.
slusher Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Very cool and beautiful color and interior Jim. Keep those builds coming....
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Thanks guys. 1950 Olds will be the next one up.

Very nice kit to work with. Nice build dude! I just picked up one of these kits. Had a look through the box and I must say I am extremely impressed with the quality and detailing of it. One of the best looking kits I have had to date. So nice infact it might be the first time I build a box stock version.
Dominik Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 interesting Custom i think. Looks interesting. Are the rims from a Hudson?
Sledsel Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Very sharp looking. Love the colors and FE. Happen to have the rear quarter trim still? In need of the front angled piece (attached to the spear)
