bbowser Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Finished this one up last night. I really need to work on my photography. Kit went together very well, the up-top was warped or I would have used that, may try to straighten it later. As always, comments welcome, thanks for looking.
vintagercr Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Bruce, it looks sharp! Nothing wrong with your photography
Harry P. Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 From what I can see, that looks pretty darn good to me! Nice job on the grille and the little details like the red bars in the bumpers and the scripts on the hubcaps.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Very nice Bruce! What kind of paint did you use? I'm detecting a little metallic in the paint, but it's very subtle. Looks great! Steve
charlie8575 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 About the only thing I'd do different is a tan interior. That aside, looks great. Your pictures are good, too. Nothing to worry about. Charlie Larkin
Eric Macleod Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Excellent build of the most beautiful car ever made. I like your color choices a lot. Well done and well photographed. Eric
Eric Macleod Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 With all due respect to Charlie, I love the dark red interior. Dark blue over dark red is one of my favorite color schemes on these cars. Very authentic. The guy I know who has one the color of Cobraman's WIP also has one in this color scheme. It too is stunning. And had you posted one in black over tan...same response. Cool guy with cool cars. Keep the beautiful red interior! E-
peekay Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Lincoln got it right, Monogram got it right, you got it right!
Harry P. Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I agree with Charlie that a tan interior would look great, but the dark red looks great too! Man, I wish there was a kit of this car in 1/16 or 1/8 scale.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Fine looking model. Love the varied colors on the seat leather too. Looks real. Is that a very fine pearl blue, or a solid color? It looks like it could be either...different in some photos.
sjordan2 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Love it. A great job on one of the best Americn automotive designs. I think your color scheme is terrific, inside and out.
bbowser Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Thanks so much to everyone for the kind comments. I debated going tan on the interior but almost every one I've seen was black over tan, so I went a little different. The blue is plain old Ace Hardware navy, no pearl or flake. It really is a sharp looking car, one of the best looking pre-war designs IMO.
59-Desoto Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Super nice looking Lincoln, well done sir. Dont get any better than this.
