Brizio Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Saw it on Facebook... http://jalopnik.com/these-are-the-worst-selling-model-car-kits-of-all-time-1712668537
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I wish that Newhart Oldsmobile was real... not a bad show, and I like the car.
Tom Geiger Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) Give it a year... someone will find that Newhart Olds picture on Google and will come to this board hoping to buy the kit! I want one too Scott... that may be half a case sold! Edited June 20, 2015 by Tom Geiger
DaveM Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I'd buy the Olds too. Maybe they could update it to be the "Professor Proton" version and tie it in to Big Bang Theory. I bet that would help the sales... Moebius should start tooling one of those...
MrObsessive Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I would LOVE to have that Olds!! I've always liked the '74-'76 Delta 88's (LOVE that roofline!), and they were the last of the really big Olds as they just shrank after that.
Rob Hall Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) IIRC from the Newhart show opening scenes, the Olds was a '73 4dr ht though...similar to Sam Riami's car that has appeared in most of his movies.. Edited June 20, 2015 by Rob Hall
Jon Haigwood Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I'm holding out for the "Larry, Darrell and Daryl" Gremlin
Monty Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I'm holding out for the "Larry, Darrell and Daryl" Gremlin They allegedly had a Buick too. Remember the episode where they hadn't been seen for a week and Dick asked them where they'd been? Larry said they'd spent it on the Riviera (pointing to the back of their house). I miss that show.
spencer1984 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I kinda would like the Ferrari....... I kinda have the Ferrari...I bought the Hasegawa kit they used for the Photoshop to turn into that very car. Would absolutely buy that Olds as well.
Brett Barrow Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 The Magnum PI Vanagon is real. The 60 Minutes dragster is the recently reissued MPC Jawbreaker. Except for the Newhart Olds they're all based on actual kits.
