kymdlr Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Unfortunately the pictures dont show the color very well. Its painted in Testor's one coat metallic purple w/ a coat of tamiya pearl clear followed up with regular tamiya clear. Polished it out to a great result in person. The decals gave me problems, but overall not a tragedy. The wheels and tires are aftermarket resin pieces.
StyreneDestinations Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Great "drape" on the plug wires. Really a natural look. Nicely done overall as well.
Mike Chernecki Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Looks good! What did you use to paint the shaker scoop. It has the sparkly argent silver look that was originally used on these

kymdlr Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 thanks all. The silver is Testors one coat diamond dust.
Nacho Z Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I'm a sucker for purple cars and this one is a beauty! Very nice!
DumpyDan Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Wow, well that just blew me away. That color is great, nice work.

Next time, you might consider waiting for a cloudy day... or perhaps use your flash to help "fill" the shadow areas.
om617 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Looks really good. Had some serious fit issues with the hood on mine.
crazyjim Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 My most favorite color and it looks terrific in SHINY
Speedfreak Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I like it. That car just screams summertime. The wheels and tires look very nice.
Kmb0319 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Ron, this is GORGEOUS! Question: you mentioned the tires were resin pieces... what are they and where did they come from? I've gotten really frustrated with skinny kit tires... I need to find some good street tires for muscle cars like this. THANKS
