Unfortunately the pictures dont show the color very well. Its painted in Testor's one coat metallic purple w/ a coat of tamiya pearl clear followed up with regular tamiya clear. Polished it out to a great result in person. The decals gave me problems, but overall not a tragedy. The wheels and tires are aftermarket resin pieces.

Looks good! What did you use to paint the shaker scoop. It has the sparkly argent silver look that was originally used on these

 

Agreed, nice job overall but the shaker hood looks really good.

It's a beautiful build! The photo above looks just about right for full sun. Next time, you might consider waiting for a cloudy day... or perhaps use your flash to help "fill" the shadow areas.

Ron, this is GORGEOUS!  Question:  you mentioned the tires were resin pieces...  what are they and where did they come from?  I've gotten really frustrated with skinny kit tires... I need to find some good street tires for muscle cars like this.  THANKS
