That could work if the body is hollow.  I went to website but it doesn't seem to work.  I'll try again tomorrow.  Thanks for the info, Ken.

It is hollow .. I have one here. I think it would make a good Book Mobile. I got mine to model my step-son's Food Truck. I'll be modeling all the inside. The front doors are made to slide in place but you'll have to do some hinging got any back or side doors. Jeff Ballard does fantastic casting and this in one for sure. The insides are about as smooth as the outsides and not hugely think.

Here's a forum page with a large photo of the kit.

Bookmobiles come in many shapes and sizes and I've seen many in a Grumman Kurbmaster and competing makes.

Jim, I've seen it, and yes, the body shell is hollow.  However, as others have noted, most "Bookmobiles" are at, or nearly the size of a city bus, although here in Tippecanoe County, the public library uses a 35' gooseneck trailer and duallie pickup truck to tow it (Galaxie Ltd. trailer would be a perfect match for that one)

The bookmobile in the suburb of Minneapolis I grew in, Fridley, MN, was about the size of a city bus. I loved the bookmobile. It's a shame they don't have bookmobiles today.

When I was a kid my grandparents lived in Jersey City, NJ. At the bottom of their street, there was a large old folks home and the bookmobile would often be parked there.  As a kid interested in all things on wheels,  I made my grandfather take me there so I could walk through the book mobile to inspect it.   Yes it was the size of a city bus.

When I did the Google Images search above, I was intrigued by the grand variety of bookmobiles and the ingenuity.

Thanks for the comments fellas.  I'm going to try and locate a Tamiya Hiace.

You have to bear in mind that Marcia has built a '34 Ford Snap Tite kit.  That's it!  I think styrene would be easier for her.  Also, we live in Citrus County, Fl that has about 130,000 people and is rural to semi-rural.  We don't have all the conveniences of the big cities.  Stores and services tend to be smaller and few when you can find them.  That's part of the reason she wants to build smaller.

Some of the evergreen siding could be used to simulate books on a shelf and can be ordererd with different groove spacing.
