I was hoping that the Nickey Camaro would be the Dickie Harrell race car as I used to live two miles from Nickey Chevrolet back-in-the-day. And I was also hoping that the 2017 Ford GT would be in 1/25th scale also. Oh well. I have plenty to build already.

The Ford GT is likely a Revell Germany kit reboxed into a Revell USA box (just not released yet by Revell Germany), as most of their car kits are 1/24 (like the Porsche 918), not so hung up on scale, just would have rather seen a full glue and paint kit for it.

The only 2 there that are pre-paints are the Foose ones, the ZL1 Camaro and '14 Mustang are full glue and paint kits.

Ok, I just assumed they were just new wheels and hoods on the prepaint kits. Hopefully they're on the full detail chassis and come with stock parts. If so then they might as well drop the idea of the unpainted prepaint kits. It's possible that the wheels are just photoshopped in and that why they look so wonky, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi everyone. Here's my opinion on what is being released. First off I am a car fanatic, I love em all. I am broke, I am poor but I will definitely find a way to buy all of them not only to show my support for revell but to ensure that this fantastic hobby of ours stays alive and healthy. I buy as many as I can and build as many as I can. Here's something I haven't seen in this thread yet. THANK YOU REVELL THANK YOU REVELL I appreciate all that you are doing. That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. Also someone posted that they didn't like that hood on the mustang. I love it I'm buying 10 . Thank you.     Jeff

Know l know why I'm broke! !!!

30/31 Model A is all I'm interested in, none of the others get a look in

I have a nice chopped Model A Coupe body in resin, so I really don't care if Revell comes out with another Model A kit or not.

I go downstairs into the "stash cave" and see about 800 unbuilt models.  This year I've got five either done or near completion.  So doing the math...

However. looking at this list, the Ford GT,  ZL1, C7 Foose and 67 Nickey are likely on the list.  The ZL1 can be a good base for a custom car.  And the Foose C7 may be a better option to do a Z06 C7.R since Revell indicated they are currently not planning any C7 Z06.

I, personally, am not a big fan of Fords, Mopars, Porsches, or 29-30 Fords.  Not that I would not necessarily build one, but not my main interest.  For those that are into them, I'm glad they'll get their chance to buy.

I agree with Jonathon on the getting the RoG versus the USA until it is known whether there is warpage in the packing.  Also, for those who want to deal with the undersized wheels of the 918, Plamoz wheels just announced corrected wheels for the kit.

Also, if I understood correctly, it may be some time before any more 57 Ford variants (aka Ranchero) might show up.

If they fix up most of the problems with the '67 Camaro, I will buy a few.  If not, I won't bother.    If the Mustang and Camaro can be built close to stock,  (i.e. stock bodies and reasonably stock hoods)  I might get one for a street or drag racer.  Otherwise the only other thing I might get is a 918 if the kit looks as nice as the original thread indicates.  Luckily, I am still finishing up tons of stuff from Revell's last quarter.  (2 '57 Del Rios, 3 29 roadsters, 2 '40 coupes and a BRE Datsun Z, along with a couple of others in the stash.)  Not every quarter is perfect!  I'm sure Revell will still end up with a bunch of my money this year...  They always do.

When I finish the tamiya Gullwing I'll post pics of the Porsche 918 in progress. Just ordered a set of Plamoz wheels for my 918. I really like the revell Porsche 918

I'll keep my eyes open.  That could be  a really fun kit to build.

I got to see test shots/ buildups of the Foose C7, Nickey Camaro, and some others at the Southern Nationals NNL this weekend. Ed Sexton said there were no changes to the basic body of the Camaro, but the Nickey parts, especially the hood, looked good. It's also an RS, so there is a new grill, taillights, etc.

The Ford GT looked great, it appears to be a snap kit and the built kit on display just about nailed the color of the show car.

I wonder if the '13 Camaro and '14 Mustang will be 2n1 with stock hoods and wheels or only with the silly cartoon hoods and wheels..

I asked and they will include the stock parts as well as the new custom parts.

From what I've read, they are the previous pre paints with additional wheels, (presumably tires also?), hoods, decals, etc.   Presumably molded in white.

Well, I guess I can scratch that one off my list of  future purchases.

I don't have a list of future purchases as my "stash" is pretty well where I want it to be, especially at the rate I build (finish) kits.

I don't know credit for this pic, was shared with me, is the new 2017 Ford GT supercar, is really basic, like the 2015 Mustang a snap-tite model, virtually no chassis detail, basic interior,  no drivetrain

It's my photo that I took at our show. This particular model shows the kit as it will be available for kids to build at the auto shows. It will reportedly be available for public consumption in March with a pair of side mirrors. There's engraved detail in the headlight bezel area under the headlight covers (where Mustang/Raptor etc. have none). Engraved detail on the interior is more complete than the Mustang/Raptor etc. This kit sort of bridges the gap between Revell's build & play and their regular snap kits. While it's troubling to see their focus on modern cars go away from detailed kits (there is absolutely no guarantee that they'll do a more detailed 2015-up Mustang at this point, for instance. In fact Maisto's diecast is far more detailed, but suffers the typical diecast issues), this may be the only way we'll see the GT in plastic at all. I can have lots of fun w/the kit if it looks right and subject matter is enticing. I'm hoping the windshield fits better than this sample.
