Old Coyote Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 .... the 1969 Corvair funny car owned by Joe and Frank Pisano and driven, wrecked, and destroyed by the original "Kamikaze Kid", Sush Matsubara
MAGIC MUFFLER Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 What a beautiful representation of this car! Well done..
10thumbs Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 The car looks right! I like the lesser chrome look on the motor, and the paint is absolute top notch. You are an excellent painter, and the car shows your knowledge.
Chris in Berwyn Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Very nice!! Who made the body and what is the source of the chassis and Chevy engine?
Mister Twister Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Beautiful work as usual John.....What brand and color is the paint?
Snake45 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice!! Who made the body and what is the source of the chassis and Chevy engine?Very VERY nice indeed and I have the same questions.
Old Coyote Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the nice comments guys ............ the body is available from Competition Resins and the chassis came from a Polar Lights funny car ............. the engine is a Ross Gibson blown big block Chevrolet ........... and the paints are from Leon Tefft's great Cobracolors offerings which are long gone, Candy Wild Cherry over Glitter Gold Metallic ...... and the decals came from Slixx. Burnout Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Very cool funny! You did a great job putting this one together.
GaryR Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 WOW! Very cool, looks like the real thing! Nice work!
MeatMan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Oh yeah, that's how it's supposed to be done!
W-409 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Excellent work John as usual. Excellent paint and decal work on the body and nice work on the chassis too. Especially engine detailing looks great and all of the color choices on that engine are just right. It looks like it is metal and not plastic.
gasser59 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Very nice build John. I love everything about it especially that its a Corvair.
WCD Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Beautiful effort. The fogging and depth of paint is very nice.
