landman Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Here is what I ended up with. It was a big job. Turned out not too bad. Edited January 1, 2021 by landman
wayne swayze Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Great looking rig! Has the "right " look. Great job!
Petetrucker07 Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Like I said on the bench. You've done an outstanding job on this. The engine was an awesome piece, this all came together very well.
Superpeterbilt Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Great work Pat. This is a really nice piece. Its very unique, and represents the 1:1 accurately. Plus, its just cool ;)
MrObsessive Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I'm not a heavy duty truck guy by any means, but I DO like this! Super excellent work.........looks VERY convincing!
1959scudetto Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Super model! I had this as a Matchbox truck 50 years ago.Did you scratch guild the hood with an amt cab? Or is it a reworked toy? A resin kit?I really would like to build a workhorse like this - fabulous!!!
towman1271 Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 You should be proud of that piece.. The not bad comment you made is just wrong.. The detail & work you put into this is superb!
gino Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 that came out great ! outstanding workmanship !

Tesla Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 This project turned out great! A tip of the hat to you sir
landman Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Thank you all for the kind words. Despite the hurdles, I actually enjoyed this build very much. Meanwhile I started on the large tools for my engine shop diorama. I tackled a crankshaft grinder first.
Foxer Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I really like how this truck looks. I've been following along and enjoyed your build very much.
Petetrucker07 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I'm curious what your next project will be. So far your builds are awesome. Lookin forward to the next project.

Petetrucker07 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Sounds like another great build either way. I'm beginning to think you don't like styrene cabs. Just messin, you definitely have workin with resin down.
