Helix Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Another oldie from my stash finally done. A real nice kit for it's age and the parts were in good condition with hardly any flash, decided to go sort of stock as this kit has a few options, went for the dual carb intake and the custom lowered setting The only upgrade to this was using a brand new set of AMT Round 2 white walls, Testors Classic White duco with Tamiya semi gloss Black for the interior. BMF and a few little details. Cheers Ray
DumpyDan Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Wow that look great, very clean build and nicely detailed interior. Well done
bigdrag1 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 What a Great kit, Really nice build Ray.....
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Sharp! One of the few I have yet to add to my collection.Nice job on this one Ray! Steve
gino Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) very nice ! my favorite car 63 Pontiacs, I owned a 63 grand prix back in the day. the best car I ever had, thanks for sharing Edited December 1, 2015 by gino
Exotics_Builder Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Nice job. Have the very same kit sitting in the basement stash, unbuilt. I'll likely attack the Moebius 61 before I get to this.
charlie8575 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I have one in need of a total resto. This came out very nicely. Charlie Larkin
TFchronos Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Beautiful build, such a nice color for the car.
Mr Stock Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Looks real nice Ray, love the dropped look and its great to see these old kits built up like they should be instead of sitting on the shelf.
mangodart Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Very nice build, it sits a bit too low on the rear for me but really nice detail
John Goschke Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Nice work! You're careful detail painting really sets it off. An antenna that's more in scale would make it even better!
dodgefever Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 That's nice. I've been looking for a reasonably priced '63 hardtop for a dog's age, but no joy.
bbowser Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Beautiful, looks very classy in white. Great detailing on the dash.
RiskiestLion Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 very nice clean build love it wish to see more from you "!!
Helix Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Cheers guys, appreciate all the comments Here's a couple of pics outside
W-409 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Excellent job on this! It's great to see a bit different Pontiac than the '62 Catalina we usually see (Nothing wrong with that either, it's a beautiful car too). Very nice paint work and sharp BMF. Black wash on that grille looks extremely realistic, too. When I saw the first picture I thought it was a Photo Etch part, but then I realized that probably no one has done a PE set for this kit...Excellent work!
Mr Stock Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Those outside pics really show it off well, also nice to note that AMT didnt do a bad job on those 8 lug wheels over 50 years ago !
