mangodart Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Hi guys, Back with a new built. This one is kind of special to me : a few month ago I've lost one of my best friend from a brain tumor. He was a very nice guy and I miss him very much. He was also a very good modeler. And I've bought some of his models from his widow. This one is one of his. It was built/painted at 80%, so I decide to finish it as good as possible. I detailed the interior, polished the paint, did some stuff for not seeing the interior bottom through the front wheelwell, and did the final assembly. It's an original Johan kit from 1960. I really like that car and I hope that you will like it too !!!
mangodart Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 And the last one : Hope you'll like it
GTJUNIOR Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Nice tribute to your friend. I'm sure he would approve.
disabled modeler Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 You both did a very nice job on her...looks great..! Nice to see someone get and save them instead of what usually happens to them...getting tossed in the trash....
1959scudetto Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 C'était formidable !!!Very nice model, I wish I had this in my collection!
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Very cool Emmanuel!!A few years back when I first began to really get into vintage kits, this was one of the first kits to go on my "must have" list.I managed to find a good built up for a reasonable price & it was one of my first annual restorations & is still one of my favorite builds!I love that car!!Nice work!! Steve

TooOld Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Absolutely beautiful ! I can remember as a kid riding around in our "brand new" '60 Phoenix convertible , loved it !
CometMan Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Very nice build, they probably sold more of the kits than Dodge sold of the actual car! But they really stand out today!
Sixties Sam Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Beautiful build! I'm glad to see those old Jo-Han models saved! Great work!Sam
THarrison351 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Very Nice. Hope to build a Modelhaus version one day just like it. My dad had that same color scheme car when I was born.
