Monty Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Wow, very nice model. The improved headlights enhance the front view significantly.Good job.Gotta agree with that. In addition to your usual dazzling paint, skillful foil work and accurate interior depiction, that headlight swap you've mastered adds a substantial amount of realism to all those old kits with molded-in chromed headlights. The wire wheels were an excellent choice as well.I thought the chassis turned out nicely too, but I have two questions for you:1) Did you create some type of poseable steering or is that a feature of the kit? 2) I noticed a body-colored segment near the middle of the chassis. Do you have reference pictures for that?I'd say you're off to a great start for 2016!
peekay Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Another absolutely stunning model Yuri! The 67/70 Eldorados were beautiful cars and this model really shows that.
69NovaYenko Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) Awesome and outstanding..it is well executed & I love the wire wheels and color. By the way, would you mind sharing with us what color(s) the body was painted in; it appears to be a two tone paint scheme. Edited January 14, 2016 by 69NovaYenko
Alan Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Unbelievable as usual Yuri!! I've had one of these kits laying around for many years & never had the drive to build it. I've been thinking about getting rid of it for a while, but now I'm not sure. But then again, it'll never look that nice so why bother hanging on to it. Steve Steve, guess what I forgot I had in my collection ........ a mint unbuilt original kit lol
Canso65 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Beautiful job Yuri.I really like the color you chose.Rob
