Bennyg Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) This is my pick for 1/24 car kit of the year, looking at the decals, photoetch and even seat belts. Hopefully it all comes in the box. Ben Edited January 27, 2016 by Bennyg
niteowl7710 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Tamiya usually announces 60-90 days in advance, and clearly that's beyond "test shot" phase. Also the Detail Up P/E and Carbon Fiber are done, so educated guess says April at the latest. If it's sold like the LaFerrari was the goodies in the background will have 2 separate SKUs. They've been selling stuff separately to keep the retail cost outside of Japan down. With the LaFerrari hitting shelves at $92 MSRP, I bet this creeps a few more bucks towards that $100 mark. Of course nobody in their right mind buys Tamiya kits at U.S. LHS prices, and the kit and both detail up sets will probably get out the door for less than $65 @ HLJ.
Exotics_Builder Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Holy guacamole! Are those kit decals in the back round? If like the LaFerrari, PE and CF decals will be separate order.
花火 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Um...so de facto I have a advantage here in my country --- one LaFerrari in my country through online checkout almost RMB 240, do the math almost $36...

That is the lowest price I could find.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Got a couple of the 1/16 288s, pretty nice aside from the wrong-sized Pirelli/wheel combo. Love the EM-series 1/24. But a kit developed from this tooling? Oh, that'd be something else ENTIRELY. Edited February 4, 2016 by Chuck Kourouklis typo
Bennyg Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Surprised more pictures haven't turned up on the FXX-K. Looked on the tamiya website and there are two "coming soon" spaces, one I assume is the fxx-k and the other a mystery.
martinfan5 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Adding to what James said about the pricing for the FXX-K , Hobby Easy has it listed for $38 US, the Carbon Fiber decal set is $6 and the P/E set is $9, so looking at $53.

Timonator Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Is Hobby Easy any good ? I've never done business with them before.
T-bone Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I've used Hobby Easy and they are great to deal with
martinfan5 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Is Hobby Easy any good ? I've never done business with them before. Yes, I had no issues buying from them.
kelson Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 After reading this thread and seeing the pics of the Ferrari FXX-K,i went to Hobby Easy and preordered 2 of them!,what a stunning looking car!!!
aurfalien Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Curious if pre order pricing is cheaper or the same as release pricing?I'm tempted to pre order the FXX-K but its due to release 4/15. It's currently $40.26@HobbyEasy.

aurfalien Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Its not listed on Tamiya's April release list. That's interesting. Well, lets see if HobbyEasy is off the mark on this. I'll know by 4/15 as I just did a pre order Edited April 8, 2016 by aurfalien
Bennyg Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I preordered from hobby easy. The payment hasn't gone through yet. Ben
keyser Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Never ordered from HE. Which shipping option best? I'm good with HLJ shipping options, but varies in HK vs JP to US. I hate too many choices, just want trackable, insured, not buried in customs, and sooner than a month.

Might as well get those too.
keyser Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Yessir. I got my FXX, and LaF from HLJ, but they have zip on the FXX-K. The add-ons are so cheap its silly to pass. even with freight it'll be $20-25 less than US.

They are having a sale on the FXX-K as well which seems odd.But so much in life is odd that this is the least of my concerns.
martinfan5 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I preordered from hobby easy. The payment hasn't gone through yet. BenI have only pre ordered from them one time, but if I recall, they bill you when the items come into stock, so you are going to be waiting awhile, like already been mention, the kit is not listed on April or Mays released list.
