Luc Janssens Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 There's a Van who's making a long awaited comeback, go on a search via link below...Wettringer Modellbau Forum
Rob Hall Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Mmm...Ford Transit...sweet. It would be neat if one of the companies would tool up the current Transit, since it's sold and built in the US also now...

It could happen, but only when people think it's cool again, driving Vans with shag carpet, glitter ball and metal flake paint work.;^)
Jim B Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 If those are the 2016 releases & not just all of the trucks they've produced; then I see some Euro trucks in my future.
oldcarfan Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Anyone know if the rumor that they have ESCIs old tools is true? I have one Gelandewagen to build, but I would love to have another. Also the Range Rover and their really cool 70s-80s rally cars...
Atmobil Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 YES!!!! The Transit is back!!!Yes, this is going to be a reissue of the Esci 84 Transit, not released in 30 years. Italeri and Revell have both reissued old Esci kits before.Italeri did the Ranger Rover Paris Dakar, Gälendewagen Paris Dakar, Land Rover,Toyota Land Cruiser (as the Armed Pickup), Fiat 131 Rally and the Renault 5 Alpine rally and maybe some more that I have forgotten.Revell did the Gälendewagen Fire Brigade and the Mercedes 190E and possibly others aswell.I will buy several Transit vans when they arrive and I will build a custom van out of at least one of them. I also hope that some aftermarket company will make a mk1 resin conversion kit for it.
oldcarfan Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I've got the Gälendewagen Paris Dakar, Land Rover, two versions of the Renault 5 Alpine rally, the VW Golf rally and somewhere the Ranger Rover Paris Dakar.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'm kinda excited about the 3 axle Scania.
Force Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Hopefully they did a new chassis and don't use the old 6X2 single drive tag axle chassis from the 142 series...and also a new DC16 engine.
Superpeterbilt Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Im happy to see the Western Star re-issued. I might finally venture into Euro trucks with the Scania 6x4, or the Renault.
Chuck Most Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Well, then... the Esci Transit is coming back. And Italeri is the company making it happen. I hereby take back 95% of all the less-than-favorable things I've ever said about Italeri.
Bennyg Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Nothing really appealing to me, hopefully they'll do a modern American truck next year.
chuckyr Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Nothing really appealing to me, hopefully they'll do a modern American truck next year. You and me both. I might take advantage of that Western Star.
