Reeves Racing Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 This is the Revell 41 Chevy pickup modified into a panel truck. This was a build for my boss at work. The wheels and tires are from the Galaxie 48 sedan delivery kit. Duplicolor black with MM Ultra Gloss Clear and homemade decals with a little BMF on the hood trim.It was hard to get all the dust off... 1

Tom Geiger Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Fantastic work! When I saw the finished photos first, I wondered what panel truck back end you mated to the pickup.. then your build photos show that you scratchbuilt it all! Amazing! I'd love to buy a resin copy!

The rear window isn't quite right and I would work on couple of the style lines a little more.thanks for all the nice comments.

rmvw guy Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Good looking truck, nice job. You must really like your boss and your job. This is a great hobby!
Bernard Kron Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) Your boss must delighted. Really handsome and immaculately turned out. Great fabrication work on the back half. Also, I'm curious about the decals. Is the "Coit" in gold or yellow? And how did you do the white portions? Did you print your decals on white stock with black edges? Or do you actually have a printer that prints white? Edited February 10, 2016 by Bernard Kron
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Nice work on the panel conversion. That took some thought, and some serious doing.
Maindrian Pace Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Fantastic scratch building! no easy task to get all those compound curves correct, but correct it is.
