Tom Geiger Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 The wife remarks reminds me of a story. Keep in mind my wife never complains about my models or the money I spend. She realizes it's the center of many of my friendships and probably the thing that keeps me sane!So here's the story.... a few years ago my wife asks me if I can help her sell a few things on eBay. I cannot imagine what she has to sell, but I agree. She brings out about a dozen expensive designer handbags, each worth a few hundred bucks! I had no idea she had these things! And I realized I couldn't say a word about it!
Joe Handley Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 You're lucky Tom, I knew R/C guys who's wives didn't like their hobby, but had a similar collection of purses.
charlie8575 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Perhaps another reason to stay single.Charlie Larkin
gtx6970 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 My wife has no qualms with my modeling or the stash . And as long as family wants/needs don't go unattended ....I can spend pretty much what I want,,when I want . She and my girls are the same way , be it shoes , clothes , purses or ???????? But I do have a conscience so I don't get stupid with what or how much I buy .I go thru phases where I work like crazy on models for a while, then I may not touch them for weeks or months .
Pete J. Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Hmmm, I've got to believe that there is something going on here we can't see. You all know how strong model boxes are and I find it unlikely that you could stack models that high and not have some of the bottom ones collapse. All in all though, it is a nice stack! Lunajammer Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Yes, it certainly appears to be an attention getting vendor display. The lower boxes don't look too stressed so there is probably a framework that not only holds it up from behind but possibly at different levels too. It wouldn't make any sense to have such a display then not be able to sell a box without a plastic avalanche.
