On the magazine... specifically, something many of you have been asking for forever and has finally become reality.

Nobody has a comment? Really?

Well, given how so many members here made a huge issue out of the plastic sleeve thing for so long, I expected a whole lot more reaction. Guess not.

Some of us haven't received our copy yet ... but the first ones were raving about the bag where Russ said.

You mean there is a new issue out ?

I'm not a subscriber, but I have to say that it was a great idea!  Thanks! :D

But seriously, I do subscribe to couple of magazines which are delivered in poly-bags and they arrive in my mailbox perfect condition all the time (which cannot be said about the other magazines I subscribe to).

Neither am I. In fact, I've never even viewed a copy. The LHS sells it, but I'm perfectly OK with just the site.

LOL.  I commented in the other thread.  It is a HUGE improvement ~ even though I rarely ever had any damage to mine before and when I received one in less than pristine condition it was never any serious damage.

Regardless, the even bigger story is that Gregg & friends have established their own publishing company and are now in much greater control of MCM's destiny.  The bagging of issues is a part of that.

Congrats, Gregg, Kelly, Darryl, Harry & all.   Good fortune with the new venture!

The bag is too thin and I don't like the way it was sealed. They really should use an 8mil plastic bag to protect against bugs and getting run over by cars. They also need to make it like a ziplock bag so I can reseal it when I am done reading each time. The chincy little plastic that is being used right now is completely unacceptable. Also, it would be nice if they would include a crisp $20 bill in each issue to show that they appreciate their readers.

Well, I think the guy that complained the loudest was banned, so that is why it is not that big a deal/

I didn't even notice it. To be fair, I had no reason to notice it. My magazines have never arrived damaged, 'cause Gregg likes me best. B)

Maybe it's a matter of where you live, but I've never had an issue with magazines or papers being damaged by water or anything else...my mailbox is large enough for magazines, papers, and small packages, and the lid has a gasket to keep rain out, and that's where they get delivered.

My issue takes awhile to get here sometimes, so I can't comment yet. I do live a very LONG 50 miles from Denver.

Those must be 50 very mountainous, treacherous miles...

I have made comments on this before, it has to do with the power of six: Six copies to readers in the same zip code drop zone will get their mags in one bag. What's a zip code drop zone? Like a big distribution center. For those copies not in da power of six, they get sent to regional post office, then distributed, then distributed, then distributed, then distributed, then distroyed (thought I was going to say distributed, didn't you?)

Kelly and I did this as a test way-back-when, and we named it the Power Of Six. Of course, I replaced the "i" with an "e", but she didn't buy that.....

Well, now you're really in luck!   Now you live a verrrrrrrrrry long 3,293 miles from where your magazine departs.
