Just completed this one for a community box stock build on youtube, rules stated that no added parts were allowed to be used, so no plug wires etc.....not that you'd see them anyway!

I've always wanted to build the Little Red Wagon kit as a stock A100, so I used this as my opportunity. For the age of the kits molds it's not a bad at all, a lot of flash and sink marks, and it's very fiddly in places particularly the opening doors.I could not get those doors to fit snug and man did i try!. I used the stock 273 V8 for the motor.

I got the look I was going for. .....hope you all like her.

Gary, are the doors on this as nasty as in the L700? Nice job by the way.

Thanks Pat I've never built the L700, but I would imagine the doors fit the same way, and yes they were really nasty, there is no positive location point to glue the hinges, it's really trial and error and superglue with a kicker spray!.

Nice build!  I love this kit. I have built one as well as a van version using the Jimmy Flintstone resin body.   There are two details that aren't on the kit pickup body. First are the "Dodge" scripts on the doors. This detail was on the L700 doors and was resin cast many years ago by Ron Cash for use on this kit.  Unfortunately no longer available.  Also there should be a gas cap on the left rear quarter panel.  Jimmy Flintstone got both of these details right on the van body.

Doors.. I gave up making those silly hinges work and glued mine in place. The hinges are way huge and out of scale so I got rid of them and added some round plastic stock to model non-working ones in scale.

And as far as engine wiring and detail, you are correct in saying that you can't see it anyway. Once I glue the doors in place (and they are fixed on the van body) I glued the engine cover in place. No sense doing top end detail at all then, I don't even think I added a carb and air cleaner!

Very sharp build.  What did you use for the paint

Thanks Carl, I used Duplicolour car aerosol paint on this one.

So wait, the Lil Red Wagon kit can be built as a stock truck??

Yeah Jesse, all the parts are there in the kit too build either the LRW or a stock A100, I've not added anything extra to the above pics it's built straight from the box.

Great build Gary. It's a really nice change to see a stock build of this Dodge, rather than the LIttle Red Wagon.

Congrats, Misha
