BlackDragon Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Hello, this build was my first full resin conversion kit. It is not perfect but i like it. The donate kit was a Round2 Kenworth K123 COE and the conversion kit is from Illini Replica. Thanks to Bob for this beautiful cabin. I have implemented many ideas. The tanks, front bumper and the sunshade Visor are made with 0,3mm Aluminium Sheet, for mounting the hardware I use miyuki beads, the wheels are a combination of the rims from Dave Natale and Italeri tyres. All backlights and marker lights are from czechtruckmodel and the exhaust stack is a drinking straw. I found a real truck in internet which i like and tried to get as close as possible. Here's my adaption. Thanks to all for looking in and the best wishes to you, Michael

BlackDragon Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) I am overwhelmed by the comments, many many thanks to all of you. I have converted some photos to black and white and have an idea for an trailer. Want to clone the front of these Ertl GMC 950 with Great Dane trailer. Have fun with the pictures. Have a nice weekend and best regards, Michael Edited April 2, 2016 by BlackDragon
Superpeterbilt Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Great build. This came out excellent. I have seen photos of the real truck, and youve done a great job. I think a lot of other builders will be using your bead technique from now on.
purepmd Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Michael, this build is simply superb. That little KW turned out beautiful. Outstanding work!
extmcdriver Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Beautiful build!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BigBad Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Just like the real one! I like everything about it, I'm surprised about the 2 piece Italeri tires in the back, they look at home on this truck!! Interesting build and a nice piece!
Plastheniker Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 (edited) If this is your first resin cab we know what we can expect for the future.Excellent!Sadly the blazing sunlight on the first pictures casts deep shadows hiding a lot of details certainly worth to be seen.
