I seem to have a weird reoccurring problem. In my laptop, sometimes, but not always,  when I go to the website and try to reply to a post I find that the reply area is greyed out and I can't type anything. It seems to work alright on my phone. I've tried logging on and off and even turning the computer on and off to no avail. Anyone else had this happen or am I just that special?

I encounter the same problem. Also, when attempting to reply, the contents of a previous reply I typed are in the box. Then, there's the issue of having pics recently posted in an unrelated thread end up in an edited reply and I have to re-edit the reply in order to delete the unwanted images. Go figure.

Sorry to stray off topic, folks, but I really like your Outer Limits avatar, Joe.

I have no laptop, pad or cell phone to post from, but those are where  the majority of weirdness seems to come from regarding posting issues. My PC and browser (Firefox), never gives me any problems with sites.

I've had that issue once and thought it was just a glitch in the board. PC's and laptops work the same and have the same operating systems. It seems like every glitch likes to pick one user and sink its teeth in. I wonder if clearing your cache would help you?

The thing that is really annoying is when you accidentally quote a post you have to delete the script of the quote then make a post or else anytime you try to post inn that topic the quote comes back. This is the only board of the many that I am or was a member of that has that little quirk.

I think there is a new feature in this version of software that temp saves the post you are typing.  Because if your posting fails, or browser freezes up, when you get back and click on the empty reply box, the post you thought you lost reappears.   I like that.

I think the fail is that this temp save sometimes doesn't delete itself  when you submit the post.   And odd stuff will appear.  Even when you clear it out and type new, sometimes old quotes will show up in the subsequent post.

What brand and version of computer are you using, and what browser and version?

My Mac has seen many times when browsers are updated beyond their capacity to support my computer. Experiment with a variety of browsers.

Yup! That happened just this morning when I was replying to the Arii's '58 Cadillac post with quotes. Power went out in the neighborhood for a second for whatever reason and I lost everything.

Or so I thought......when I rebooted the computer and came back to the board, everything I typed was still there including the quotes. It's a neat feature and it saved me from typing the whole thing all over again, something I hate doing.

Yep, I have experienced the same thing and when I finally got the page back up my message was still there. I was greatly relived because I didn't want to retype the whole thin over gain.

Not sure which browsers you guys are using, but I really like Google Chrome as a web browser. I used to be hardcore Internet Explorer fan... until I tried Chrome. Sooooooo much better. Especially when you install the AdBlock Free extension.

ack, I cringe every time anyone mentions using Exploder.

Explorer the preferred browser for downloading a better browser! Saw this quoted in a Network administrators office and it stuck with me.LOL.
